DIRECTIONS: Complete in the library and return to teacher at the next class
meeting.

1. Locate this book __________________________ in the library. Write the author,

title, place of publication, publisher, date, and the first sentence of the first chapter
of the book in the space below.

2. Using General Reference Center Gold or ProQuest Direct, locate a full text article
on gun control . Write the author, title of the article, name of the
magazine/journal, volume number, page numbers of the article, and the first
sentence of the article in the space below.

3. Using the same subject from question 2, select either Wilson Omnifile or General
Reference Center Gold and locate a magazine/journal reference that does not
contain the full text of the article. Using the information in the reference/citation,
return to the HCCS Libraries Homepage and determine if any HCCS library has
the specific magazine issue that your selected reference appears in. In the space
given, write the magazine/journal title and its date of publication. Also, indicate if
that issue is available in any HCCS library. If it is, indicate one library that has it.
4.Using the Yahoo Internet directory, locate the category where free email sites are
listed without using the search box. Write the sequence of categories you looked
under in the space provided. Select a free email site and go to it. Write its web
address below.

5. Using the Google search engine, search the words small business. From the list
of sites retrieved, select one and briefly evaluate its credibility below. Be sure to
include the web address of the site in your evaluation.
