ISA INTERFACING
ISA(Industry Standard Architecture) is a standard bus(computer interconnection)

architecture that is associated with the IBM at motherboard. It allows 16 bits at a time to
flow between the motherboard circuitry and an expansion slot card and is associated
device(s).We used two kinds of IC 8255 and 74LS138, in our ISA card we used the 23
pins to connect to the IC, so we used 4 port addresses specifically 7C00,
7C01,7C02,7C03.First we convert the port addresses to its binary form and we used the
first nine values as the analog pins.A0 and A1 are bits that vary and the A2-A9 are
connected to the decoder which ic the 74LS138, in every analog pins they have different
logic,Logic 0 and Logic 1 which is indicated in our diagram. Lastly 7C0 is port A 7C1 is
port B
PARALLEL PORT INTERFACING
Parallel Port is a connector for device that sends or receives several bits of data
simultaneously by using more than one wire.
In our parallel port, the proponents make used of the data port only so the LED
strip is connected to D4 and water pump motor is connected to D11.
STEPPER MOTOR
A stepper motor usually has four,six or eight wires with the appropriate number of
independent windings. A four lead wire motor is run by a bipolar driver, while the six or
eight wire motor can be run by a unipolar and bipolar drivers.
In this project the proponents make use of a unipolar stepper motor that can
operate even one common is used. The proponents make use of two kinds of IC, NE555
timer and 74LS194.In the 555 timer , bistable mode which has two stable states the high
and the low, taking bthe trigger input low makes the output into the high state, taking the
reset input low makes the output in the low state.
SOIL MOISTURE SENSOR
The proponents make use of a soil moisture sensor with a sturdy

stainless steel probe for measuring the amount of water in the soil.
RENEWABLE SOURCE
In the renewable the proponents make use of a 555 timer, and a dc motor, and for
the display of our renewable source we used arduino and LCD. For the mode of the 555
timer, monostable mode is used because it produces one pulse of a set length in response
to a trigger input such as a push button.

CONCLUSION
The project entitled “THE DEVELOPMENT OF AUTOMATED POTHERB
SEEDING AND MONITORING SYSTEM POWERED BY GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
IN TAAL MARANAN’S FARMVILLE” was good in the overall view. The project
accomplished its objectives which are to produce electricity geothermal energy system
and to supply electricity into an automatic potherb machine.
The project also corresponds to the needs of the user. The project could produce
and supply electricity through geothermal energy system
To sum it up, the system was efficient, functional, accurate and good for the users.
The system could either have a good or bad effect for the users depending on how they
will use it but the proponents are assured that it will be a great help to everyone.
RECOMMENDATION
The proponents recommend that this proposed project, upon completion, should be used
by private and public community as well as local government to produce more energy, at
low cost and to solve electricity crisis

Definition of Terms
Graphical User Interface (GUI) - It is a user interface that allows user to
interact with electronic devices with images rather than text commands.
Microsoft Visual Basic – Visual basic provides a graphical user interface
that allows the developer to drag and drop objects into the program as well as manually
write program code.
Driver - Computer program that operates or controls a particular type of
device that is attach to a computer. A driver provides a software interface to hardware
devices, enabling operating systems and other computer program to access hardware
functions without needing to know precise details of the hardware being used.
System - An established, orderly method or procedure for doing
something. Computer systems will include the computer along with any software and
peripheral device that are necessary to make the computer function.
Software - General term for the various kinds of programs used to
operate computer and related devices.
Integrated Circuit - Another name for a chip, an integrated circuit is a
small electronic device made out of a semiconductor material.
74LS138 Decoder - is a type of IC that used in ISA interfacing. It is a
high speed 1 of 8 Decoder/Demultiplexer. This device is ideally suited for high speed
bipolar memory chip select address decoding.

82C55 (Programmable Peripheral Interface) - is a popular interfacing
component, that can interface any TTL-compatible I/O device to the microprocessor.
LM324 - is a 14pin IC consisting of four independent operational amplifiers (op-amps)
compensated in a single package. Op-amps are high gain electronic
voltage amplifier with differential input and, usually, a single-ended output. The output
voltage is many times higher than the voltage difference between input terminals of an
op-amp.
