stages;
Stage 1 – Online Assessment test - CAE Aircrew Selection System (CASS)
Stage 2 – Group Activity
Stage 3 – Personal Interview

Stage 1 – CAE Aircrew Selection System (CASS)

After submitting your online application on cae.com, if a candidate meets the eligibility
requirements of the IndiGo Cadet Program he/she will move on to Stage 1.

i. After application verification if a candidate meets the eligibility requirements

of the IndiGo Cadet Program he/she will move on to an online assessment test
called CAE Aircrew Selection System (CASS).
ii. If a candidate’s performance at this stage is unsatisfactory, relevant
observations and reasons for rejection will be de-briefed before the 2nd
attempt.
iii. The 2nd attempt for this stage will take place after a cooling period of 3 months.
The 2nd attempt may start from the same stage with the same FTO.
iv. A maximum of 2 attempts will be given to a candidate. If the 2nd attempt is
unsatisfactory, the candidate will be considered unsuitable for the IndiGo
Cadet Program and will not be considered at any time in the future.
v. If a successful candidate desires to move to a different FTO, a cooling period
of 3 months will be applicable. His/her next attempt on screening with the new
FTO will be considered as the 2nd attempt.
vi. Once a candidate clears this stage and decides, he/she must continue with the
same Flight Training Organization (FTO) for stages 2 through 3.

Stage 2 – Group Activity

i. If a candidate’s performance is unsatisfactory, he/she shall be given a 2nd

attempt. The 2nd attempt is permitted without repeating a preceding stage,
and will be scheduled without delay on the next selection dates with the same
FTO.
ii. A maximum of 2 attempts will be permitted. If the 2nd attempt is
unsatisfactory, the candidate is not considered to be suitable to join the IndiGo
Cadet Program and hence will not be considered for the same in the future.
Stage 3 – Personal Interview

i. If a candidate’s performance at this stage is unsatisfactory, he/she shall be de-

briefed covering the areas of unsatisfactory performance before the 2nd
attempt.
ii. The 2nd attempt at this stage will occur after a cooling period of 3 months. The
2nd attempt will start from the same stage with the same FTO. i.e. without re-
appearing for the preceding stages.
iii. After 1st unsatisfactory attempt, if a candidate desires to proceed with another
FTO a cooling period of 3 months will be applicable. This stage with other FTO
will be considered as 2nd attempt. The individual will be treated as a new
candidate with the new FTO and will need to re-start the selection process
from Stage 1.
iv. A maximum of 2 attempts will be given to a candidate for this stage. If the 2nd
attempt is unsatisfactory, the cadet is not considered to be suitable for the
IndiGo Cadet program and will not be considered for same in the future.
v. Having cleared this stage, if a candidate is unable to proceed for training due
to reasons beyond his/her control e.g. unable to clear contracting state
medical for license issue, VISA etc., the candidate can re-apply with a different
FTO without any cooling period, but such candidate must enter the process
from Stage 1. Such cases will be evaluated & considered on a case by case
basis.
vi. If a candidate is unable to proceed for training with the same FTO after clearing
all the stages for reasons beyond his/her control, he/she may be re-considered
for the IndiGo cadet pilot program with the same FTO within the following 3
months. However, the stipulated maximum age will still apply and each
application will be considered on a case to case jointly by IndiGo and the FTO
concerned.
vii. Once cleared through this stage, the cadet signs a Letter of Intent (LOI) with
IndiGo for which 1 surety will be required.
