2 81 81 - 82.4 -1.4
3 82 82 – 82.4 -0.04
Average 82.33 82.33 - 82.4 -0.07
Analysis
The average temperature of isopropyl alcohol to reach the boiling point on this
experiment was 82. 33℃. Compared to the published boiling point of isopropyl which is 82.4℃
on these experiment there was 0.07 decrease in temperature. These experiment is close to be
an evidence that the boiling point of isopropyl alcohol is 82.4

Table 2: Melting Point of Urea

Trials Temperature Solution Error

(to solve the error)
(℃)
1 134 134 - 133 1.0
Analysis
By using glycerol that reaches more than the boiling point of 100℃, the melting point of
urea on this experiment is about 134℃. Compared to the published melting point of urea which
is 133℃, this experiment has an error of 1.0℃ increase in temperature.

Conclusion
The experiment manifested that the boiling point of isopropyl alcohol is about 82. 33℃
which is approximately close to the published boiling point of isopropyl alcohol (82. 4℃).
Therefore, the data yielded is true since it has only an error of 0.07℃. This also means that the
substance is pure of any other substances to interfere with its boiling point.
The experiment also exhibited that the melting point of urea is about 134℃ which is also
approximately close to the published boiling point of urea (133℃). Therefore, the data yielded is
true since it has only an error of 1℃ which is caused by human error (there is only one trial). This
also means that the substance is pure of any other substances to interfere with its melting point.
Therefore, the boiling point of isopropyl alcohol and the melting point of urea is
determined.
