Atles Extaction System & Ancillary Equipment Operational Costs

Atles Throughput:

• 20.4K (45lbs)/ run

• 40.8K (90lbs)/ hour
• 980K (2,160lbs)/ 24 hours

Atles Ethanol Consumption:

• Atles system uses 1.5 gallons of ethanol per pound of input biomass.
• Using the Ares falling film evaporator and Ceres centrifuge, you will recover 97-99% of the
ethanol used.
• The system holds a total of 160 gallons of ethanol.
• You will use 60 gallons of ethanol per 40-pound run.
• Run times are 30 minutes per run, so you would use 120 gallons per hour.
• If running continuously, you would continuously feed ethanol into the system.

Atles Electrical Consumption:

• (4.7 kilowatts per hour) X (price per kilowatt) X (# hours of operation) = electrical costs

Atles Water Consumption:

• The Atles chiller is water cooled.

• The Atles chiller uses on average (6gpm gallons per minute) X (cost per gallon of water) X
(number of hours of operation) = cost of water

Atles Maintenance:

• Change three inline filters every two weeks. If running dirty biomass, then recommended
change every week.
• Cost per filter USD$10 each X 3 = USD30 per change

Ancillary Equipment

Ares Falling Film Evaporator Electrical Consumption:

• (3.6 kilowatts per hour) X (price per kilowatt) X (# hours of operation) = electrical costs

Ceres Falling Film Evaporator Electrical Consumption:

• (1.5 kilowatts per hour) X (price per kilowatt) X (# hours of operation) = electrical costs
