Court Street Flint, Michigan 48503 Date: 8/15/2019 Re: University Square Development Mr. Wilson, ‘Our neighborhood is very excited that many positive things are happening in our area and are grateful for the development and investment that continues to help improve our quality of life in Carriage Town. The Board hhas reviewed and discussed your plans for a mixed-use development at University Square, located at the intersection of Grand Traverse Street and University Avenue at length. While the notion of new development and/or re-development is exciting for us as a Board and the neighborhood we represent, the majority of the Board has concluded that this proposed project is not suited for our neighborhood and will not improve our quality of life. It does not properly align with our mission, does not comply with current zoning codes and does not follow the standards set by the Secretary of the Interior. We hope that you can understand our position on this matter and accept this as our formal letter of opposition to your proposal for development at University Square. Kind Regards, Nick Kedovary President cc: City of Flint Planning & Zoning Department
