1. Start Revit 2018
6. Start Worksets command. Look at the created worksets. Create two new
worksets, and call them Structural_COL, Structural_FLR, (take a note of the
name of the owner of the old and new worksets). When done, click OK
10. Save the file, and read the message from Revit which tells you that your file
now becomes the central file
11. Go to Collaborate tab, locate Synchronize panel, and click Relinquish All
Mine button to release the ownership of all worksets (if you don’t do that, other
users can’t work with worksets)

14. Using File Menu, select Open, then select yourname_Cenral.rvt (use this
method) don’t click OK, make sure that Create New Local checkbox is turned
on, then click OK
15. Check the name of the file (it should look like yourname_Central_MH1.rvt)
16. Go to Worksets command, and make Structual_COL Editable (you will see
that the owner will be MH1)
17. Save the file, and Close it. Once Revit asks you if you want Relinquish, or
keep your ownership, choose Keep your ownership
18. Repeat this process as for MH2 and Structural_FLR, save but don’t close it
19. While you are in MH2 file, go to Level 2 floor plan, and try to move one of the
columns
23. Change the username to be yourname_Manager, and open the central file
(make sure you are not opening it as local file)
24. Go to South elevation view, and change the height of Level 4 to be 10000mm
25. Close the file, and answer Yes to save the file
28. Go to Collaborate tab , locate Synchronize panel, and click Reload Latest
button
30. Go to 3D view
31. Click on the Worksharing Display button, and select Owners, then select
Worksets
32. Select Worksharing Display Settings, and change the colors as you wish
