Smart City Vision Competition 
 
 
  As you might be aware, Nashik is one of the 98 cities selected under prestigious Smart 
City  Mission  of  Ministry  of  Urban  Development,  Government  of  India.Nashik  Municipal 
Corporation  is  in  process  of  preparing  Smart  City  proposal  (SCP)  for  Nashik.  One  of  the 
important part of SCP is Visioning exercise. Under the Visioning exercise, city will have to decide 
Vision  based  on  citizen  consultations.For  this  we  are  conducting  a  visioning  competition. 
Following is the competition entry format: 
 

Introduction:  Smart  City  Mission  was  launched  by  Government  of  India  on  25th  June  2015. 
Cities  under  this  mission  will  be  selected  through  two  stage  competition.  First  stage  of 
competition  has  selected98  cities  for  this  mission,  while  stage  two  of  the  competition  will 
decide  top  20  cities  for  the  first  round  of  funding.  Nashik  has  cleared  the  first  stage 
competition.    For  second  stage  competition,  Nashik  is  preparingSmart  City  proposal  (SCP).  
One  of  the  important  Component  of  SCP  is  Visioning  exercise.  Under  this  competition, 
participants  will  be  encouraged  to  prepare  a  vision  statement  for  the  city  using  following 
keywords:  Heritage,  Culture,  Innovation,  Opportunities,  Livelihood,  Environment, 
Development, Adaptation, Conservation, Education and Wine.
