CRP: The headquarters of the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) is situated

in Chapain, Savar and occupies approximately 11 acres of land. In 1990, CRP relocated to
CRP-Savar from rented premises in Farmgate.

CRP provides medical treatment, rehabilitation and support services focusing on physical,
emotional, social, psychological and economic aspects. It promotes the development of skilled
personnel in health care and rehabilitation in the country. CRP has developed centres in
different parts of the country to expand the services for disabled people in collaboration with
other organizations. It promotes empowerment of disabled people through community based
services, advocacy and networking on disability issues and empowerment of disabled girls
and women. CRP also raises awareness on disability issues nationally, regionally and
internationally.

OBJECTIVES
 To provide treatment, Rehabilitation & support services focusing on
physical,emotional,social, psychologicaland economical aspects.
 To promote the development of skilled personnel in health care and rehabilitation in
the country and SAARC region.
 To develop centres in different parts of the country to expand the services for persons
with disabilities in collaboration with other organizations.
 To organize and promote programmesfor the prevention of disability.
 To develop programmes of early identification, therapeutic intervention and
education.
 To promote advocacy and networking on disability issues.
 To promote empowerment of girls and women with disabilities.
 To promote empowerment of person with disabilities through community-based
services.
 To raise awareness about disability issues nationally, regionally & internationally.
 To conduct research consistent with the vision, mission & overall objectives of CRP.
 To promote sport & recreational opportunities for person with disabilities.
 To promote collaboration opportunities nationally, regionally & intentionally to share
experience & expertise.

VISSION: To ensure the inclusion of girls and boys, women and men with disabilities into
mainstream society.

MISSION : To promote an environment where all girls and boys, women and men with
disabilities have equal access to health, rehabilitation, education, employment, the physical

1. Medical:

The medical services wing (MSW) of CRP comprises of sets of process requirements and
outcome measures, which underpin CRP’s approach to clinical care. “Service to sufferers
is service to God”. With this moral motto, the MSW focuses on delivering uniform high
quality clinical care to patients with spinal cord injury, both from traumatic and non-
traumatic origins and neurological, rheumatologic and orthopedic cases. Care is
delivered throughout the outpatient department, inpatient department, operation
theatre, radiology unit, pathology unit and telemedicine services.
