Why do we need to study the title?

- The Metro Manila continues to be troubled by increasing vehicular traffic congestion,


especially along the major roads leading to Central Business District (CBD).
- According to the Employers’ Confederation of the Philippines (ECSP), the traffic
congestion now afflicting streets in Metro Manila is wreaking havoc on workers’
productivity and the competitiveness of the enterprises.
- Traffic congestion causes longer commute time, employee absences, stress, wasted man
hours and added fuel expenses.

What is the problem identified in the title?

- How does road traffic congestion affect employee’s performance?


- Does the road traffic congestion demotivates employees who live in Cavite to work in
Metro Manila?
- What would be the possible solutions to make to reduce the employees stress caused by
road traffic congestion?

What is the data that will prove that there is the need to study the title?

- According to Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Philippine suffers around


3.5 billion economic loss each day created by traffic congestion in Metro Manila. In 2018
the numbers of registered vehicles was reported at 11, 595,434 units (LTO, 2018).

Who will be the target responded? Why?

- Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Employees in Pasay. According to the latest


Philippine Statistic Authority data shows that the BPO industry employs 575,600 workers,
with a majority (87.6%) in call centers. BPO jobs are the most in demand in the Philippines,
contributing to the country’s 14% overall increase in job openings, according to
Jobstreet.com Job Outlook Report. Manila placed as the second largest BPO destination in
2018 Tholons Top 100 global outsourcing destination (Zoleta, Sep. 2019).
