Telangana politics’
With the increasing chaos for Telangana Rahtriya Samithi (TRS) in the state, congress is
playing sneak-peak type of ghettos in the sense of Asad’s & KCR’s cartoon. The C-Voter
survey of January 2019 political positions of parties reveals that all the Lok Sabha seats of
Telangana i.e., 17 will be backed by TRS+AIMIM jointly, TRS via 16 seats and one lone
seat by AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi into the Parliament. The KCR-Owaisi factor
mingling magestic amid of 2019 Indian General Elections.

On the otherhand, both archrivals Telugu Desham Party (TDP) and congress are scared
(of overwhelming peoples mandate in favour of TRS) who camed closer at one platform
of Mahakutumi or Grand Alliance with single aim of overthrowing the ruling TRS in
December 2018 Telangana State Legislative Election. This time for Lok Sabha polls
Mahakutumi, which is a cluster of TDP, Congress, TJS and Left Parties viz., CPI, CPI(M),
doesn’t seems to be an allied partners as the TDP chief ChandraBabu Naidu (CBN)
detected stage sharing with TMCs president Mamata Banerjee at Kolkatta’s Brigade
parade ground Grand Opposition alliance rally on 19 Jan 2019 to show a unity of
opposition regional parties against the rulling BJP and National Democratic Alliance

(NDA), in which Congress general secretary Mr. Rahul Gandhi was absent. This kept
Mahakutumi in dielamma whether to be inentente or not in Lok Sabha Polls in March 2019.

The left parties viz., CPI, CPI(M), also making to have an impact in Telangana for 2019.
The wave for TRS shows that it had given a good governance in the past four and half
years. The decision of KCR to dissolved Telangana Assembly nine months before the term
was an arrow hit to congress leaders who were said to be champions and victorious if
Assembly elections takes place before the term and challenge KCR to make early polls in
the state. Captain N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Telanagana Congress State president took vow
of not to be shave his beard until he erase and uproot TRS from Telangana. But the TRS
now becomes a force to reckon within the state of Telangana.

Another major reason for the landslide victory of TRS is the backing of AIMIM and KCR’s
friendly terms with Asaduddin’s party. Eventhough KCR didn’t went fully alliance with
MIM party but a defacto praising Asaduddin makes Muslims of Telangana getting edge
with KCR and TRS party. This tacit game play helped him to get Congress and TDP
suppressed. While the BJP got only one seat in Telangana Assembly but aiming high
number of seats for Lok Sabha. Interestingly AIMIM which does’nt see BJP eye to eye
backing TRS fully to ensure that BJP will get 0 out of 17 from Telangana.

Significantly, the TRS which is believed to go in the NDA pocket at national level is now
nimbling to make a separate federal front. He ditches BJP and Congress and expressed his
views to become a national leader and playing a crucial role when any of the alliance either
NDA or UPA shorts number for government formation in Delhi. He said that Hyderabad

will decide fate of Delhi in the press conference held after state elections. TRS maintains
equal distances from both BJP and the Congress but reaching hard and fast with the
regional parties like TMC, NC, SP, BSP, AIDMK, YSRCP, JDS, JDU and BJD. But the
irony is that, this outstretch of KCR goes in vain if the TDP glad to become a part of the
Federal Front as TRS and TDP are unviable to go joining hands.

Approching to national scenario by taking account of Andhra Pradesh, either the

Mahakutumi (TDP + Congress + Left + TJS of confined to Telangana) will be a factor or
Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP or the BJP is major happening story there. Chandra Babu
Naidu’s decision will be importance in A.P. as he sounds in dielamma, firstly he made
alliance with Congress in Telangana by forgetting all previous ifs and buts, but this magic
fails. Hope this Mantra of Kutumi pays off for CBN. Now, he is in national grand Oppsition
fray in which Congress is absent. But Jagan Mohan seems in safer mode by not engaging
YSRCP either of the national contenders viz., Modi and Rahul. Interestingly TRS’s
working president Mr. K.T. Rama Rao the son of KCR shows support for YSRCP and with
the aid of AIMIM hoping to make Jagan victorious in 2019 Lok Sabha polls in all 25 seats
of A.P. As of now in Telangana TRS have 10, Congress have 2, BJP, AIMIM and YSRCP
has each one seat. While in A.P. TDP have 15, YSRCP have 8 and BJP have 2 seats in
Parliament. The total tally of Telangana and A.P. is 42 seats which is 7.7 % of the total
Indian Parliament (545) seats. Fetching Telangana (17) and A.P. (25) alone will make
3.12 % and 4.6 % seats of Lok Sabha each respectively.

The fate of the BJP will be polymorphic phenomenon, as the party making its best possible
move to concomitant with South India. Moreover in Telangana TRS wants a tedious
opposition and managed to get some opposition leaders from Congress and TDP in their
fold. Revant Reddy will be a boon for it. Also, TRS made AIMIM happy by nominating
Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, MLA of Charminar as pro-tem speaker of Telangana while going
on freely terms with Akbaruddin owaisi, the firebrand anti Modi leader of AIMIM in
Assembly. This makes BJP angry and the lone MLA Raja Sing didn’t want to be sworn in

in front of Khan and skips the event. Recently, a picture of former Indian cricket team
captain Azharuddin with MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi went viral on social media,
this makes Congress speakless because Azhar would be projected as party candidate for
Hyderabad seat against Asaduddin Owaisi.

The Hyderabad seat will be a rugged fight between Senior Owaisi Asad and BJP, the
Congress will be a third contender. KCR also making his nephew Harish Rao confined to
Siddipet and helping his son KTR to be emerge as state leader and paved an easy way for
him (KCR) to go in national politics. If Jagan combines with KCR then this would be an
important regional force in Parliament skipping NDA and UPA. Wait don’t wonder if KCR
and Chandrababu unite hands as both state CMs are angry with Central Governance of
Modi. They criticize the sanction of funds and schemes for the state as less. But at times of
Demonetisation and GST, TRS supported BJP and Babu was a part of NDA and maintained
healthy relation with Prime Minister Modi and BJP. But CBN getting angry as funds for
Amaravati, the proposed capital of bifurcated A.P. are less. In that sense KCR and CBN
proffer a tough fight to Congress and BJP, then Jagan will be in a tricky situation whether
to go for which fold.

Although AIMIM which is a Hyderabad based party not contested high number of seats in
Telangana rather than the seven Assembly segments of Old Hyderabad, yet it is trying to
impact on Marathwada region of Maharashtra that was once a part of the then Nizam’s
Dominion. AIMIM, now fringing towards Prakash Ambedkar’s Bharipa Bahujan
Mahasang for a united Dalit-Muslim alliance against all viz., Congress, NCP, Shivsena,
BJP, SP, BSP etc., for 2019 Lok Sabha seats. The BJP’s developments are contemplating
as it is probing to get maximum seats as possible, to retain the Secunderabad hold also.

All in all, in Telangana people expected that a massive voter turnout will be for 2019 Indian
General Elections also 21st century born voters are waiting for their cast. TRS would
appear as blizzard, Congress, TDP, BJP and Left will give a gritty fight for TRS and
Jagan longing to be a player in A.P. But in both Telangana and A.P., BJP wants to be in
the main fray of South Indian Politics.
