BSP Holds “AlertoAko” Exhibit in CDO

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) conducts the 4th “AlertoAko,” a BSP proactive exhibit on
financial consumer protection advisories, on October 20 to 22 in an establishment in Cagayan de Oro.

AlertoAko highlights BSP advisories on how to detect, avoid and protect oneself against financial
scams.

The exhibit also features interactive games and activities, and audio visual presentations on
financial products, frands and scams, and consumer protection.

Atty. Prudence Angelita A. Kasala, director of the BSP’s Financial Consumer Protection
Department (FCPD); Onofre D. Pascua, deputy director of the BSP Cagayan de Oro branch; and Pamela
Mendez, marketing manager of Centrio Mall/Gateway Corporation, led the ribbon cutting ceremony for
the exhibit.

Key officials from the banking community, trade and industry sector, universities and government
agencies in the city also graced the opening ceremony.

AlertoAko is a project of the FCPD in cooperation with Centrio Mall/Gateway Corporation.

The exhibit is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The BSP will put up the exhibit across the country to cover more ground in educating financial consumers
to be vigilant against financial scams and frauds.(BSP/PIA10)
