Philippine History Script Ama: “Tama ang iyong ina Ravena sapagkat kung
hindi tayo kristyano o mayaman ngayon, mababa
Intro: Hi classmates! For today I’m gonna tell you
guys a story about a binibini who is brave enough to
rebel against the spaniards during the philippines
spanish colonization.
Scene 1: When the times in the Philippines are free
from colonizers and rich in culture and tradition, the
spaniards came and took over our nation. Filipinos
across the different islands of the nation taught they
came here to spread their religion which is the
Catholicism but spaniards had a different vision and
that is to colonize the whole nation. Some filipinos
accepted them and those who do not were enslaved
and oppressed. That’s why from the 300 years of
colonization of the spaniards, filipino rebellions still
exist today…
Scene 2: Ravena Concepcion was born in one of the
wealthy Filipino families that had their filipino
surnames converted into a Castilian or spanish one.
Her family was the richest in the baryo, all because
of the help of the spaniards, that’s why her parents
liked throwing parties at their home for the
spaniards. Ravena lived all her life learning the past
300 years of spanish colonization and admiring the
old filipino tribes before the spaniards came. That’s
why Ravena grew up hating the spaniards, their way
of colonizing the nation back then was purposeful
because they wanted to spread their religion but
when time went by they become cruel to the point
of changing our nation in their own culture, also
forcing filipinos and oppressing them just because
they overpower them in terms of their technology in
warfare. That is why she looks up to the rebellions
of the nation.
Ravena: “Ama at Ina bakit kayo pariwala at sunod
sunuran sa mga kagustuhan ng mga espanyol kahit
ang kapwa natin filipino ay inaalipin?”
Ina: “Ravena hindi paba sapat saiyo na ang pamilya
at ninuno natin ay nabuhay ng isang daang taon na
mayaman at di inaalila ng mga espanyol?”
ang tingin nila satin at tayo ay aalipinin.”
Rav: “Ngunit Ama at Ina…”
Ina: “Tumigil ka Ravena kundi pag dating ng

With no power against her parents, Ravena kept
quiet since then. But she kept the promise to herself
that she would save her nation, filipino brothers and
sisters so that when the time comes they would rise
up from (kahirapan) for their country.
(Kaya ang tanging nagawa ni Ravena ay manahimik
dahil alam niya na hindi pa ang tamang panahon
lumaban kaya ipanako niya sa kapwa niya filipino
ay ililigtas niya ito at muli silang babangon sa
kahirapan para sakanilang inang bayan.)
Scene 3: In the years of spending time with the
spaniards with a hidden agenda, Ravena gathered a
lot of information from them that she knows that
would help her in planning her revolution. But time
also came that Ravena is at the peak of her age for
marriage.
Ina: "Ravena sa nagdaang taon nakita ko ang
pagbago ng tingin mo sa mga espanyol. Namataan
ko sa tuwing may salu-salo sa ating tahanan ikaw ay
nakikipaghalubilo sakanila. Kaya ikinatutuwa kong
sabihin na may isang makisig at mayaman na
espanyol na gusto ka bilang asawa."
Ama: "Kaya tinanggap namin ng iyong ina ang alok
ni Alejandro at binigyan namin siyang basbas na
ipakasal ka sakanya. Sa Sabado, sa hinandang salu-
salo sa pagbati ng batang heneral ay isasabay namin
ng iyong ina ang anunsyo ng kasunduang pakasal
niyo ni Alejandro."
Ravena: "Ngunit Ama at Ina kaibigan ko lamang si
Alejandro, hindi ko siya mahal bilang lalaking
mapapangasawa ko!"
Ina: "Tumigil ka Ravena! Pinagpala ka kaibigan mo
si Alejandro at siya ang pinili namin para sa iyo
dahil may ibang mas matatandang espanyol ang
gusto ka mapangasawa!”
Ravena: "Hindi makatarungan ang hinihiling niyo
sakin Ina at Ama! Kung noon pumayag at
nanahimik akong pabayaan ang inalipin ang kapwa
nating filipino, ngayon hindi naman ako papayag na
ialipin ako!"
Ina: "Hanggang ngayon bukang-bibig mo parin ang
mga salot na filipino na iyon! Manahimik ka kung
ayaw mong ikulong kita sa kwarto mo hanggang
sabado!"
For all the years of pagtitiis ng galit towards her
family, Ravena had had enough that she wanted to
leave her family and home. Because she knew if she
didn’t leave now, this marriage with Alejandro
would be where her dreams to save the filipinos and
the years on planning to save them would be wasted
away. Even when her plan on meeting the infamous
young spanish general that was going to come to the
party this Saturday would be wasted. She knew that
she needs to risk all the information that she was
supposed to get from him to help her better in her
plans but it was too late now. Before leaving home
she needed a disguise, all the people in her baryo
knew her and her family and she doesn’t want to
catch any attention because of her magara na
filipiniana and pearls. That is why she stole one of
the filipinianas of the helpers in her home. She left
her home and also took what she can get from the
hidden treasures and fortunes of her family.
Scene 4: Ravena left home without knowing where
she will go. She thought of going to a provincial
baryo because people wont recognize her there and
maybe she would meet the rebellions that people are
whispering about that they are hiding in the
mountains.
Ravena: “Tama at sa mga bundok ako pupunta at
baka sakaling makatulong ako sa mga rebelyon
doon!”
Spanish Guard: (in spanish) “What a beautiful
binibi! Let me take you home beautiful binibini!”
Ravena: (in spanish) “Stop! I came from a wealthy
family, you can’t touch me!”
Spanish Guard: (in spanish) “Don’t lie to me! You
may be beautiful but you look peasant to me! I will
take you and you will grant my biddings!”
Ravena knew that she cannot overpower the spanish
guard and the only thing that she thought of from
saving herself from being raped is to run. She run
and run until she came to a small eskinita where she
tripped and fell. The spanish guard caught up.
Spanish Guard: *evil laughs* “You’re all mine
binibini!”
Reme closed her eyes and thought of the past again,
the tribal filipinos had a rule to respect all their
women. Not like the cruelty of the spaniards who
nothing but overpowers the filipinos by enslaving,
forcing, raping and oppressing them. Before the
spanish guard can get to her and touch her. She
heard a splash of sword. She opened her eyes and
saw the stab of the sword in the heart of the spanish
guard. She almost screamed but then she saw (the
rebellions clothes) and she knew that she was saved.
The man who saved her was a part of a rebellion!
But before she could talk to the man he said;
Rebel: “Lumisan kana dito bago tayo mahuli ng
mga espanyol!”
Ravena: “Ngunit hindi pa ako nakakapagbigay ng
sapat na salamat sa pagligtas niyo sakin!”
Rebel: “Hindi na kailangan at sapat na ang iyong
mga salita.”
Ravena: “Hindi niyo ko naiintindihan. Matagal ko
na kayong hinahanap upang sumali sainyong
rebolusyon at makatulong!”
Rebel: “Binibini hindi mo kakayanin sapagkat kani
kaninalang muntikan ka ng mapagsamantalahan ng
maruming espanyol na ito!”
Ravena: “Gusto ko tumulong sapagkat marami
akong nakalap na impormasyon sa espanyol at may
sapat akong (pera o ginto?) upang makakuha ng
mga armas.”
Rebel: “Sino ka at saan mo yan nakuha?”
Ravena: “Ako ay si Remedios Concepcion…”
Rebel: “Concepcion?! Hindi bat ang mga
Concepcion ang mga pumapanig at
nakikipaghalubilo sa mga traydor na espanyol at
filipino linggo linggo?”
Ravena: “Opo, pamilya ko nga iyon. Ngunit hindi
ibig sabihin na pumapanig din ako sakanila.
Nakikihalubilo ako sa mga espanyol upang
makakalap ng mga plano nila.”
Scene 5: The rebel who saved Remedios took her
in a provincial baryo in the mountain where she
knew the rebels would be at and let her stay in a
bahay kubo. The bahay kubo she stayed in was the
house of the rebel who save her and his family. She
got to know that he was the leader of rebellion in
the baryo and they’ve been planning to attack the
spaniards but they just lacked in resources.
Ravena: “Siguradong sapat na ang yaman na ito
para makaipon ng armas para sainyong mga
tauhan.”
Rebel: “Ako ay nagpapasalamat sa iyong
panindigan makatulong sa ating inang bayan at
kapwa filipino. Sapagkat ikaw ay laking makisig
ang iyong puso ay nanatiling mabuti at
mapagbigay.”
Ravena: “Buong buhay ko ang tanging hiling ko
lamang ay makita ang ating inang bayan malaya
katulad ng dati.”
Rebel: “Ano ano ang mga nasagap mong plano ng
mga espanyol?”
Rav: “Nalaman kong may tinatayong simbahan ang
mga espanyol sa tabing baryo sa baryo ko kung
saan ang batang espanyol na heneral ay naka
stasyon at sila ay magpapa fiesta pagkatapos noon.”
Rebel: “Ang batang heneral na si Marcelo Garcias.”
Rav: “Kilala niyo ho siya?”
Rebel: “Oo, sapagkat marami siyang napatay na
tauhan ko. Kilala siya sa pag(conquer) ng mga
rebelyon sa bawat baryo.”
“Ravena pumunta ka sa fiesta na gaganapin
sapagkat ikaw ay may kaalaman sa paghalubilo sa
mga espanyol mas mag(blend in) ka. Kailangan
natin malaman kung may plano silang magpunta
dito sa bundok upang kung sa gayon magplano
kami ng atake sapagkat mas kabisado namin ang
bundok na ito kesa sakanila.”
Ravena accepted the request of the leader of the
rebellion since it was finally her chance to help as a
part of a rebellion and little by little her dream is
finally happening.
Scene 6: Weeks has passed since Remedios was
missing from her family and baryo. But for Reme it
was a daily training for the day of their revolution.
The day has come for Reme to meet General
Marcelo Garcias, the night has passed and the fiesta
for the new church is coming to its full content.
Reme knew that she doesn’t need to think about her
parents coming to the fiesta because if they did
people would spread rumors that their only daughter
is missing but they are having fun in the fiesta.
Rebel: Handa ka naba Remedios?
Reme: “Opo,”
Rebel: Tandaan mo ang mga tinuro namin saiyo at
maging alerto ka sa paligid mo baka sakaling may
makakilala saiyo. Lalapitan mo si Marcelo at
pupukawin mo ang kanyang atensyon sayo upang
matanong mo siya tungkol sa mga plano niya.
When Remedios arrived at the fiesta, almost all the
men, spanish or filipino are looking at her undying
beauty. To hide her real identity she cut her hair
short. And This peaked the attention of the young
general marcelo that is why he asked reme for a
dance. Reme was so mesmerized, she thought that
the rumored young general would look ruthless and
cold but for reme he was probably the most
handsome binata she had ever seen. It was love at
first sight for Reme but she knew it was forbidden.
If she continue this love, it would be the fall of the
years of planning her dream to save the filipinos
and she would also betray her fellow rebellions.
That’s why she went with the plan and sparked a
conversation with general marcelo.

Rem: “Napakaganda ng nagawa niyo sa ating baryo

heneral at iniligtas niyo kami sa gulo ng naidulot ng
mga rebelyon.”

Mar: “Hindi mo pa kailangang magpasalamat

magandang binibini sapagkat maraming pang
rebelyon ang nagmamasid masid sa gilid.”

Rem: “Masamang balita ito heneral. Saan daw

nagtatago ang mga rebelyon na ito?”

Mar: “Sa kabundukan ang hinala namin kaya bukas

ng hapon doon kami maglalakbay.”

Rem: “Anong gagawin niyo kung may mga

rebelyon nga nagtatago doon?”

Mar: “Papatayin namin ang bawat isa sakanila pati

ang kanilang mga pamilya.”

Rem: “Bakit malaki ang galit niyo sa mga rebelyon

heneral?”

Mar: “Ang rebelyon ang may salarin kung bakit

lumaki akong walang pamilya. Pinatay nila ang
pamilya ko ng walang awa.”

Reme’s heart warmed for the general because he

had reason why he hated the rebellion.

Scene 7:
