Gamelan
*Gamelan is the traditional ensemble music of Java and Bali in Indonesia, made up predominantly of
percussive instruments. The most common instruments used are metallophones played by mallets
and a set of hand-played drums called kendhang which register the beat.

*The bonang barung is a metal gongchime idiophone of the Javanese people of Java,
Indonesia. It is an elaboration instrument that is part of the Javanese gamelan.

*The bonang panerus is a metal gongchime idiophone of the Javanese people of Java,
Indonesia. It is an elaboration instrument that is part of the Javanese gamelan.

*Gambang. an Indonesian percussive musical instrument with wooden or metal plates


horizontally mounted on a stand. The instrument is played with two wooden sticks with wrapping
wound on the end of each. The sound produced is loud and sharp.

* Gender Barung is pitched an octave lower thanGender Panerus. It is approximately three


and a half feet long.

*Gender Panerus has the smallest bars in the Gender family. It is about three feet
long. Gender Panerus is pitched an octave higher than Gender Barung. Compared
to GenderBarung, Gender Panerus' metal bars are smaller and thicker.

1.Pi phat ensemble-A piphat is a kind of ensemble in the classical music of Thailand,
which features wind and percussion instruments.

*Pi nai

- The Pi Nai is used for a Piphat ensemble and the Saw Sam Sai is used for a string ensemble.
... Pi Nai is an important instrument in the Piphat ensemble and is the representative of the Thai
aerophones in vocal song imitation because it can show a player's ability to create 22 different
pitches using various techniques.

2.Mahori ensemble- A string is anchored at the end of the stick, and a small ball is
attached to the string. Although the termmahori now means an ensemble composed of the
stringed and percussion instruments, it originally refer only to the string ensemble.

*Ranat ek

- The ranat ek is a Thai musical instrument in the percussion family that consists of 21 wooden
bars suspended by cords over a boat-shaped trough resonator and struck by two mallets. ... It is
usually played in accompaniment of a ranat ek.

3.Khruang sai ensemble- is a musical ensemble in Thai classical music which consists
primarily of string instruments. ... The khim (hammered dulcimer) has become popular and is
also used in this ensemble.

*Chakhe

- It is used for wedding music, A-yai, and Chapei


music as well as modern music. The
name chakhe is derived from chorakhe
(จระเข้), meaning "crocodile". The word krapeu
means "alligator" or "crocodile" in the Khmer
language, as well.
