Foundations of Figure Drawing

List of Materials:
• Spiral bound drawing pad 9”x12”-18”x24”

• White paper or newsprint paper (less expensive) (some of my favorite paper brands are Canson and
Strathmore).

• Rigid drawing board to support larger drawing pad

• Clips to hold the paper in place

• Smaller portable sketchbook (6”x8”- 8”x10”)

• Pencil sharpener or Exacto blade

• Graphite pencils: HB, 2B and 4B (some of my favorite pencil brands are Derwent and Faber Castell)

• Erasers: Kneaded or white plastic.

• Pencil holder (a zip-case or cigar box)

• Plumb Line (a simple weight tied to a string)

• View Finder
