Hydraulic Winch Safety Mechanism

Introduction
RNRG Systems has begun providing an improved safety mechanism for use with the hydraulic winch. It is
strongly recommended that you replace the original safety mechanism included with your winch with the one
provided by RNRG. The improved safety mechanism helps prevents the winch from unexpectedly free spooling.
Please note that the safety bar must be below the free spool lever at all times when the cable is attached to the
tower system. These instructions will assist you in retrofitting your hydraulic winch to include the improved
safety mechanism.

You will need a 3/16 inch Allen wrench (not included).

Step 1: Remove 2 Allen screws and the old

safety mechanism as shown below.

Step 2: Attach the new safety

mechanism and secure using the same
screws.
