AGAP Scholarship Project

I. Basis
This project is anchored on No. 3 and No 6 of Art II of the Articles of Incorporation of
AGAP

6. to encourage and promote programs towards continuing education through training,


seminar workshop and other form.

II. The Engagement

A Memorandum of Agreement to provide the terms and conditions of the scholarship


grant shall be forged between AGAP, represented by the President and the President or
the highest ranking SUC official.

III. Screening and Selection of Scholars

1. AGAP shall provide the SUC with the requirements to select the students for
scholarship and coverage of the scholarship agreement.
2. The SUC shall recommend students that may qualify for the scholarship grant for the
evaluation of AGAP.
3. The terms and conditions of the scholarship grant shall be governed by the Scholarship
Agreement and executed by the AGAP.

IV. Qualifications of Applicants to the Scholarship Grant:

1. Must be a Filipino citizen;


2. Must be a 3rd or 4th year bonafide student at a Government State University / College
(SUC) and enrolled in an Accountancy degree program.
3. Must have a general weighted average (GWA) grade of “2.50” or better and must
have earned at least 18 units with no grade of “ 5.0” or unremoved grade of “4.0” or
“Incomplete” in the semester immediately preceding the application.
4. Must be enrolled in at least 18 units at the time of application;
5. Must be able to demonstrate significant financial need ( parents’ annual income must
not exceed P300,000 );
6. Must not have been subject of any disciplinary action; and
7. Must not have a similar existing scholarship grant.

V. Terms / Conditions of the Scholarship Grant

The Scholarship grant is renewable every semester until the recipient completes the required
course of study and obtains his/her degree, provide he/she satisfies the following conditions:

1. Must obtain an average (GWA) grade of “2.50” or better for any load of at least 18 units
with no grade of “5.0” . Any grade of “4.0” or “incomplete” must be removed or completed
on or before the last day for late registration of the following semester;
2. Must maintain record for good conduct;
3. Must not shift to another course or go on leave of absence.
VI. Benefits

The beneficiary will receive the following stipend as supplemental financial support:

1. Monthly Stipend, at P3000 X 5 months P15,000 per semester


(food, transportation, medical and personal expenses)
2. Miscellaneous expenses 5,000 per semester
Books, school supplies and research expenses  Total: P20,000 per semester;
or P40,000 per year

VII. Releasing the Scholarship Grant

Based on approved scholarship grant, the AGAP Scholarship Committee shall coordinate
with the SUC’s and execute the distribution of allowances from AGAP to scholars;
VIII. Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting

The AGAP Scholarship Committee shall provide the AGAP Board with a report on the
distribution of the allowances as well as a scholastic report on the status of the scholars every end
of semester or upon request of the AGAP Board .

IX. Initial Implementation

The scholarship project shall be initially implemented for Ten (10) students in government
tertiary institutions in four areas : Luzon (2), Visayas (3), Mindanao (3) and Metro Manila (2).
