RATIONALE

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers aims to provide excellent service and
leadership to the members of PICE BU Student Chapter by conducting seminars and
forums that will help nurture the students’ knowledge and skills.

As part of BUCENG Technofair the PICE-BU SC will conduct a seminar regarding

technical livelihood. This seminar is a great help for the students’ chosen career path to
improve their skills and be able to adapt it in civil engineering field.

INTRODUCTION

This event is a half day activity, whose participants are all Civil Engineering
Students. The resource speaker will come from Department of Trade and Industry or a
businessman who have enough knowledge and experiences to share among the
students.

OBJECTIVES

The event aims to accomplish the following goals:

a. To emphasized personal development and intrapersonal skills

b. To develop leadership, improve communication skills, and help in decision
making which is important in occupational success
 c. To enhance their skills and productively used it in the profession for better career
opportunities.

Proposed Program:

7:30 AM – 8:00 AM Log-in for Paticipants

8:00 AM – 8:15 AM Opening Program

Introduction of the speaker from DTI
8:15 AM – 10:00 AM SESSION
