SEWING THREAD
The basic function of a thread is to deliver
aesthetics and performance in stitches and
seams. Sewing thread is a flexible, small
diameter yarn or strand usually treated with
a surface coating, lubricant or both, intended
to be used to stitch one or more pieces of
material or an object to a material.

SEWING NEEDLE
Sewing machine needle actually used
for sewing purposes, pointed at one end
with an eye for thread or yarn. A sewing
needle is a long slender tool with an
appointed tip. From the ancient period to
present day sewing needles are widely
used forsewing. ... The highest quality
embroidery sewing needles are made of
platinum.
TAPE MEASURE
A tape measure or measuring tape is a
flexible ruler and used to measure distance.
It consists of a ribbon of cloth, plastic, fibre
glass, or metal strip with linear-
measurement markings. It is a
common measuring tool.

TAILOR’S CHALK
A thin flat piece of hard chalk or soapstone
used by tailors and seamstresses for
making temporary marks on cloth.

TAILOR’S SCISSOR
Dressmaker's scissors are strong and
sturdy to cut through even the thickest of
fabrics – or even multiple layers of fabric.
The longer length is ideal for pattern cutting
and seam trimming, and unlike
standard scissors they give clean, crisp
lines and not jagged uneven edges.
