The project was undertaken by GPZ on a design & build basis, based
on a concept designed by Atkins and supervised by SSH, which
includes all civil and MEP works. It involves the extension and
renovation of the two existing observation towers, one located on
the Bahrain side and the other on the Saudi Arabia side of the King

 Fahad Causeway island which contains the borders of the two
countries.

GPZ’s PM team has dedicated its efforts to progressively accomplish

major key works to the highest standards. The existing base of the
old KFCA towers has been widened and piles were introduced in
order to increase the footprint of the buildings which will now
accommodate a 54m high observation deck, 8 glass floored
walkways, a restaurant and an aquarium exhibitions.

Construction of the ‘Lagoon Estate’ villas in the Riffa Views
residential development which comprises of three exclusively
distinct signature Estates – Lagoon, Oasis and Park, an 18 hole
championship standard golf course, a country club, an
international school, a mosque, public landscaped areas, and
various other state-of-the-art amenities and sports facilities. The
scope of works included structural works, MEP services
installations, fit-out works and various ancillary external works.
Mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations were carried out
by GPZ’s MEP division. Joinery, Aluminum and Metalwork were
carried out by GPZ’s other specialized divisions.

The 10 types of high-end villas have a contemporary architectural

design and range from two bedroom townhouses to more
elaborate six bedroom 3-storey premium villas of up to 1,000m2.
Depending on the villa type, the residences include up to 6
bedrooms, several suite and separate bathrooms, 1-3 living rooms,
1-2 dining rooms, a main and secondary kitchen, a Majlis, a
reception area, servants’ quarters, facility rooms, multiple external
terraces and garages
