Kirchoff’s laws

Aim of the experiment:

• To use Mesh Current Analysis to find branch currents i1, i2 & i3 in
the given electrical circuit.

• ,To use Nodal Voltage Analysis to find the node voltage at the
nodes in the given electrical circuit.

Apparatus Required:
• Variable DC Power Supply

• Ammeter

• Voltmeter

• Breadboard

• Resistors (330 Ω, 270 Ω, 390 Ω, 220 Ω, 180 Ω)

• Connecting Wires

180 3.4 3.5

Results:
• Mesh analysis:
Mesh Current Analysis method employs the use of Kirchhoff’s Voltage
Law which states that the algebraic sum of the voltages around any
closed loop of circuit is equal to zero. It is based on the law of
conservation of energy.

• Nodal analysis:
Nodal Voltage Analysis method employs the use of Kirchhoff’s Current
Law which states that the sum of the currents entering and leaving a
node must be equal to zero. It is based on the law of conservation of
charge.
