Synopsis

1. Introduction

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety

Administration(NHTSA), over 32,000 individuals died in bus crashes in 2018-
2019.driver error caused 94% of the accidents. Driver-related issues include
distractions or lack of attention, driving too fast, illegal maneuvers, and poor
directional control. With so many possibilities for mistakes to intervene,
coupled with uncontrollable environment-related conditions, drivers are at a
higher risk of dangerous road accidents than autonomous vehicles. This types of
issues are presents so we are decides this project for improving the
India.Today’s technology has addressed many of the sensory issues with many
still to be solved. Research on human factor is very important and demands a lot
more work. The main initiative was to improve the safety along with
automation. The very well organized research in this era, along with the rapid
advancements in electronics and sensor technology, contributed to a more
understanding of the difficulties and potentials of such systems. Our project
looks into the current research in vehicle automation and their impact on
comfort and safety of the passengers. Accident avoidance and parameters
warning are the main focus of our project.
2. Motivation

DRIVERLESS FUTURE AND AUTONAMOUS BUSES technology is

perhaps the most debated technology in the automotive industry right now and
many companies are developing autonomous driving features to be added on to
their production buses. The motivation behind this technology showdown is to
improve bus safety and efficiency.
According to the World Health Organization, more than 1 million people lose
their lives on the road due to bus accidents. These numbers show that buses
cause serious casualties. There have been attempts to solve these problems, but
none of the solutions have been particularly effective. However, safe driving
technology has potential to change all these problems as a module of bus
driverless. If can be driven safer and much more efficiently, it could save
valuable lives and preserve the environment.Driverless vehicles can reduce
traffic congestion because they can travel more efficiently. Self-driving buses
follow fixed routes, which are simpler to handle than the various complicated
routes a taxi or car usually travels. Considering the growth populations in the
States, driverless buses can transport a lot more people than cars or taxis.
3. LITERATURE REVIEW

Singapore to use driverless buses 'from 2022’

The government says they will be piloted in three new neighbourhoods
which will have less-crowded roads designed to accommodate the
buses. The buses will be used to help residents travel in their
communities, and to nearby train and bus stations.Densely-populated
Singapore hopes driverless technology will help the country manage
its land constraints and manpower shortages."The autonomous
vehicles will greatly enhance the accessibility and connectivity of our
public transport system, particularly for the elderly, families with
young children and the less mobile," the Transport Minister Khow Boon
Wan said. The autonomous buses are expected to complement existing
manned bus services, and will initially operate during off-peak
hours.Additionally, the government plans to let commuters hail on-
demand shuttles using their mobile phones.

China Rolls Out the 'World's First Driverless Bus’

The dude behind the wheel is stretching his arms up like he’s dunking on someone—
perhaps the execs at Google and Apple, as this thing is the “world’s first driverless
bus,” according to manufacturer Yutong. While tech companies in America have
focused on personal automated cars, China has gone big with what could be the
beginning of mass, unmanned bus transit. The spacious vehicle, unveiled at the end of
August after three years of development, recently managed a 20-mile trip through the
crowded city of Zhengzhou without crashing into other motorists or bursting into
flames. That same driver stayed behind the wheel, true, but maybe as technology
progresses he’ll be replaced with a Johnny-Cab robot.

4. Proposed Method

In this section we describe a way to solve the problem of bus accidents and
mentoring various parameters.

The bus drives with guidance by sensors, cameras, laser radars, and a master controller, along
with a human driver behind the wheel ready to take over in case any problems arise. It succeeded
in handling complicated maneuvers like lane changes and traffic light responses without human
assistance.
However, the any obstacle are present in front of the bus, the bus will be stopped by
taking safety of passenger. They interfered with the GPS guidance system and required the
supervisors to take control. There we use RFID for ticket purpose.

Camera:
The camera module is used in our project to detect the traffic signal
rules board placed on the road sides. It is necessary to detect these signal and
control your buses action as per the rule but is world in body takes it is seriously.
So it is first part of our project to detect these signal boards.

Raspberry pi:
It is concern as a “HEART” of project. We sensing various parameters with
the help of sensors and according to which a warring signal is produced as a output
of speaker. Also the message can be displayed on display with the raspberry pi.

Arduino:
Arduino Uno It is a microcontroller board developed by Arduino.cc and
based on Atmega328. In our project we are arduino uno used for motor running
purpose.
5. Advantages:

1. This has a tremendous impact on the environment.
