ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITES


Serves as key business partner to ARS Latin America CEO in strategic planning, decision making and
M&A support. Responsible for financial analysis and results optimization for business unit within region.
Leads the development of reporting and analyses processes for regional management such as
forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, benchmarking performance evaluation, etc. Responsible for
providing technical guidance to operating units on financial issues, including complex transactions.
Brings strategic and tactical focus to business analysis and financial modeling activities.
Specific responsibilities include:

 Provides analysis, assessment and benchmarking of financial results for assigned major
operating units, including the preparation of financial and operating reports that provide data
required for management planning and performance evaluation.

 Manages the evaluation of results, and develops and drives the implementation of new internal
and external reporting enhancements.

 Analyzes consolidated results to ensure accuracy and to support information requests from
management. Interprets and analyzes all balance sheet fluctuations. Leads the preparation of
information for board meetings, corporate and operating unit management, and other key
constituencies.

 Prepares and/or leads and supervises completion of finance projects and analyses as requested
by executive management.

 Consults with various departments and/or assigned operating unit regarding a variety of available
accounting and finance data.

 Monitors the effectiveness of financial systems, policies, and procedures and makes appropriate
recommendations to ensure that daily operations are efficient; assists in implementing approved
changes.

 Partners with and supports Latin American Controller by managing financial risk through business
controls, disclosures, and support.
 Consults with business leads on acquisition, will lead the development of the business rationale
and conduct due diligence.

 Drives and manages incentive calculations in partnership with Human Resources.

 Manages assigned department staff; ensures a competent, motivated staff through hiring,
training, counseling, supervising, and reviewing performance of employees.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 Master’s Degree in Business/Finance or Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance and equivalent


related experience. Must speak fluent Spanish and have a good level of communication in
English..

 Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting


requirements.

 Strong analytical skills and experience in applying financial analysis concepts to business
activities and transactions.

 Leadership experience, with special skills such as business acumen, strategic planning, and
decision making in view of financial priorities and internal and external conditions.

 Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the corporation and
various business units.

 Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

 Ability to identify and analyze organizational needs with solid problem-solving abilities.

 Ability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external auditors and management and
staff within the business units and corporate areas of Aon.

 Proven effective supervisory skills in being flexible, creative, team-oriented and process-driven.

REPORTING LINES

The position will have a dual reporting relationship to the CEO, ARS Latin America and
CFO/Deputy CFO, ARS.
