Project Status Report for Month Ending September 2018

Project name: Abuyog Leyte 5 MLD Bulk Water Supply Project


Client: Watermight Ventures Incorporated (WVI)
Contractor: Aquaterra Konstrukt Inc. (AKI)
Sub-Contractors: Naturelink Industries Corporation for Component “A”
Water Point Construction Services and Supply for Component “B”

I. Project Description
The project involves the design and construction of a 5 MLD bulk water supply system for the
Abuyog Water District, consisting of the following components:

Component “A’: Water treatment plant (WTP) with a capacity of 5 million liters/day ( 5MLD),
inclusive of all its accessories, a diversion weir, intake structure, supply of raw water and dosing
pumps, piping, laboratory and admin building, power house, chlorination pumps and treated
water pumps, steel tank as reservoir with a total capacity of 500 cubic meters (cu.m.), supply of
standby generator rated at 250 KVA, guard house, site development, perimeter fencing with
gate and other items in Brgy. Balinsasayao, Abuyog, Leyte.

Component “B”; Transmission facilities capable of transmitting 5 MLD of treated water from a
500 cu.m. ground tank located in Bgy. Balinsasayao down to a defined service area of the
Abuyog Water District via a series of pumps, transmission and distribution lines and ancillaries,
and passing through the existing ground tank in Abuyog, Leyte. As agreed upon during the 2 nd
Coordination Meeting held in Abuyog WD on 21 August 2018, the WD’s desired minimum
acceptable water pressure is 7 pounds/square inch (PSI) to 10 PSI.

The project is being implemented under two separate contracts, both between WVI and AKI.

III. Project Status and Progress

A. Component “A” (Intake and Water Treatment Plant)

- Work Program and Implementation Schedule were presented and discussed


during the 3rd Coordination Meeting held at Abuyog on 7 September 2018. Municipal

Engineer of Abuyog requested for the inclusion in the submittals of the vicinity map
and detailed engineering design of the ground water tank, together with the bill of
materials. Detailed plans and drawings are being updated and will be presented to
WVI as soon as completed.

- Preparation and erection of steel reinforcing bars for footing, tie beams and
columns is ongoing for the Water Treatment Facility; batter board is being set up for
the Administration Building

- Information regarding the boundaries of the project site in Brgy Balinsasayao as


provided by WVI’s surveyor necessitated a re-survey. The WTP configuration and
locations for the proposed structures were subsequently moved based on the new
boundaries given by WVI’s surveyor.

- Total accomplishment as of 30 September 2018 is 4.72% as shown in Attachment

B. Component “B” (Transmission Pipelines)

- Work Program and Implementation Schedule were presented and discussed at


the 3rd Coordination Meeting held on 7 September 2018. Detailed plans and
drawings are being updated and will be presented to WVI as soon as completed.

- Materials, HDPE pipes, valve and fitting requirements have been submitted to
WVI and NATION Pipe Manufacturing and Industrial Products Corporation. WVI
advised that two checks have been signed for issuance to NATION to secure the
purchase and delivery of the ordered materials

- Construction of the field office in Brgy. Barayong is making good progress.

- Discussions regarding Right-of-Way for the transmission/distribution lines are


ongoing. A meeting with local government officials in the affected communities is
tentatively scheduled for 15 October 2018.

- Total accomplishment as of 30 September 2018 is 4.372% as shown in

C. Others

- One (1) unit brand new Toyota Hilux,(double cab pick-up, 2-wheel drive) was
procured and delivered at site in Abuyog on 7 September 2018; another unit (2nd
hand, A-1 condition, double cab pick-up, 2-wheel drive) for use by the Abuyog WD
was delivered on August 21, 2018

1-unit Brand new Toyota Hilux service vehicle 1-unit 2nd hand Ford Wildtrak service vehicle

IV. Action Items
