Once the bulkheads are square and vertical

begin fitting the hull stringers and gunwales.

Fit using thickened epoxy and screw as required


Ensure that the bulkheads stay vertical and untwisted,
so dry fit port and starboard stringers before finally glueing in place
Notch into stem

Cut out keel panel to dimensions given on Sheet 9


Butt strap or scarph panels to make the right length

Cut out and fit inner stem see Sheet 8

Plane bulkhead framing and stem as required


use a scrap plywood batten to ensure fair curves
and check that ply touches the whole framing surface

Then fit the keel panel:


Screw to transom and aft bulkheads. Pull down and fit to
keel timber and stem. Ensure that ply keeps a fair curve.
Add temporary longitudinal stiffening or vertical braces as shown if required

When you are sure your dry fit is perfect glue in place

Then fit ply topsides using the basic panel layout on Sheet 10
Butt strap the joints with 150mm wide butt straps.
Ensure the panels are fair along the join.

Note photo shows forward panel before cutting back


to Bulkhead 3 and wing and also temporary batten on keel
panel to ensure fair curve

Small gaps between the hull and keel panels don't matter
as all joints will be glassed inside and out, see Sheet 11

Again do a dry fit of panels before finally glueing and screwing


to bulkheads, gunwales, stringers and stem
