Introduction
AutoCAD is a general purpose computer aided drafting application program designed for use on
single-user, desktop personal computers and graphic workstations.
An AutoCAD drawing is made up of entities. These can be either simple graphic primitives (such as
lines, arcs, circles, text, and so on) or blocks (which are groups of entities).
This AutoCAD project is completed by using different commands. This project is made on 2D view.
Following are the commands used in this project.
Grid: The GRID command controls the display of a grid of alignment dots to help you
place objects in drawings.
Snap: The SNAP command lets you control the snap resolution, the spacing of an
imaginary grid of dots.
Line: The LINE command lets you draw straight lines. You can specify the desired
endpoints using either 2D or 3D coordinates, or a combination of the two.
Pline : Polylines are different from the line segments. Polylines are treated as single
objects and can include both line and arc segments connected at their vertices. Polyline
offers two advantages over lines. First Polylines are versatile, they can be straight or
curved, thin or wide and even tapered.
Arc: The ARC command is used to draw circular arcs. Its several options make
constructing an arc with a variety of known parameters such as center, start point, chord
length, radius and so on much easier than with traditional manual drafting method.
Circle:this command is used for making circle using radius or tangent points.
trim: The TRIM command lets you trim objects in a drawing so they end precisely at a
"cutting edge" defined by one or more other objects in the drawing.

fillet :The FILLET command connects two lines, arcs, or circles with a smooth arc of
specified radius. It adjusts the lengths of the original lines or arcs so they end exactly on
the fillet arc. If the Polyline option is used, you can apply fillets to an entire Polyline,
block : This command is used to create new blocks from parts of an existing drawing or to
list all the defined blocks associated with the current drawing (option ?). If creating a
new block, AutoCAD prompts first for a name which can be up to 31 characters long,
constructed from letters, digits and special characters
Explode:
This command can be used to break up an existing instance of a block into its component
graphic entities. These then lose their block characteristics and become like any other
graphic entities
Insert :
This command inserts a previously defined block into the current drawing or lists
available blocks (option ?). If a specified block name is not on the list of available blocks
for that drawing
Move:If an object is not in the right place, you can use the Move command,
STRETCH:
The STRETCH command allows you to move a selected portion of a drawing, preserving
connections to parts of the drawing left in place. Connections made with Lines, Arcs,
Traces, Solids, Polylines
hatch :The HATCH command is used to draw hatch patterns, which are used when you
need to fill an area with a repetitive pattern.
