How does it work?

This camera pill is easy to swallow because of its size. Swallow this pill and eight hours
later, doctors can examine a high-resolution video and take pictures of your intestines. The
patient gulps down the capsule and digestive process begins. Over the eight hours, the pill
passively travels down the esophagus where it will capture up to thousands of images with its
32 megapixels’ camera while the patient feels nothing.
The capsule does not need a motor to move but it does require 50 milliwatts to run its
camera, lights and computer. The cam draws its power through induction charging. A vest worn
by the patient contains a coil that continuously transmits power. Fluorescent and white LEDs in
the pill illuminate the tissue walls.
For offload data, camera pill continually transmits shots wirelessly to an antenna in the
vest. While the video taken by the pill will be saved at the SD Card. The camera pill is
disposable, so the patients can simply flush it away.
