ABSTRACT
The proficiency of the street organize is clarified regarding wellbeing of the driver, normal speed
and also the limit of the street area. The general activity stream of the total transport framework
essentially relies upon the execution of individual crossing point. The limit of two-way stop
controlled (TWSC) crossing point assumes the main part in the appraisal of street organize limit.
On account of semi-urban and urban situation, TWSC crossing points are the rudimentary areas
for movement dangers, postponement and clogs. Book-keeping, budgetary criteria, establishment
of signs ends up infeasible at all un-signalized crossing points lessen these impacts. Hence, in
India, activity signals are introduced exclusively on real streets. Nonetheless, in a nation, which
is as of now created, TWSC convergences are normally confined by yield and stop sign
barricades that fix the need of grouped moving. Viable utilization of need lead has made it
possible to cross the convergence with minimum conflicts. Unexpectedly, in India the larger part
of crossing point doesn't have those sign sheets. Despite the fact that they exist, drivers don't take
after those assigned signs and go into the convergence's area even on-coming vehicle is going to
crash. All these non-standard conditions create exceptionally complex travel conduct at TWSC
crossing point. Most of the development on these kinds of convergences are uncontrolled,
subsequently, this type of crossing points are labeled as uncontrolled crossing points in India.
Regardless of those troubles on a non - standard crossing point, extremely set number of studies
has been accounted for.
Movement and transportation in creating nations are additionally altogether different to created
nations since activity structure and level of street side exercises are rather than created nations.
The aim of this thesis would be to study the movement execution at un-signalized convergences
under blended traffic-conditions, e.g. speed, stream and convergence inhabitance in Srinagar,
Jammu & Kashmir, India. In this study, the traffic volume at heterogeneous traffic condition at
Pre selected six sites during the morning and evening hours usually during opening and closing
of the offices would be assessed. Very limited concerted efforts have been made earlier to
analyze actual traffic flow at four leg uncontrolled intersection under mixed traffic situations.
Further research may be conducted for estimation of the impact of various parameters (like
occupancy, age of the driver, sex of the driver, speed of on-coming traffic, size of on-coming
vehicles, number of rejections etc.) on critical gap parameter, especially in the case of mixed
traffic conditions.
