1. Introduction
Customer satisfactory is the main purpose of the Network and Sales/Marketing team.
Installing Yagi antenna in modem was to Improve the customer satisfactory due to
coverage issue impacting to bad signal quality.

1.1 Background
There are issues that made the customer has to use the Yagi antenna to support signal
quality due to poor signal coverage,

- Location of the user is too far from site

- Location of the user is quite far and in the side lobe of the antenna

1.2 Objective
There are two objectives to achieved by using Yagi antenna.
- Increasing coverage on user perception
- Improving signal quality
1.3 Disadvantage
There are disadvantages by using Yagi antenna;
- Pole to put the antenna Yagi higher than blocking surrounding
- Modem only can be served by SISO (Single Input Single Output)

2. Criteria and Requirement
2.1 Criteria
Below are criteria of the customer to recommend use the Yagi Antenna,
- SINR <= 0
- RSRP <= -105 dBm
2.2 Tool Requirement
Below are tools that will be required to check the signal condition on customer location,
- Smartphone
- Signal Test application (nPerf, Ookla, and DU Meter)
2.3 Modem Position
Below are the requirements of the Modem position before recommending Yagi antenna
- Located in place with approximately height of 1 – 1.2 m
- Located in the open space

Propose Yagi Antenna

3.1 Customer Location


Customer location should be less than 15 Km and in the main lobe of the antenna
direction of nearest sites.
3.2 Locating Modem
Modem is placed in open space to make sure no environment blocked the signal to the
modem.
3.3 Test Signal Condition
Test the network condition with actual condition to make sure the location can be
covered by good condition, RSRP>=-105 dBm and SINR > 0 dB from net1 Dashboard
that can be gotten from IP 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1. Otherwise, speed test Throughput
and delay using nPerf or Ooklaa will be needed to make sure the spot had been
covered by good service.
3.4 Propose Yagi Antenna
Antenna Yagi will be proposed after getting the signal condition information below the
threshold (RSRP <-105 dBm and SINR < 0 dB) and Modem had been placed on the
open area as required above.
