• Dr. Dhish Kumar Saxena, has actively contributed towards machine-learning-based decision
support for many-objective design optimization problems; when to invoke decision support and
when to time an optimizer’s termination. He has been engaged in optimization projects with Air-
bus UK, British Aerospace Systems UK, HP UK, and GE Aviation. He is currently an Associate
Editor of Elsevier’s Swarm and Computational Intelligence Journal.
• Prof. Kalyanmoy Deb, a Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Prize and an Infosys Prize Awardee, has
made pioneering contributions in multi-objective optimization and is the main proponent of In-
novization. His research is followed extensively; for example, one of his papers on a multi-
objective genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) has over 32,000 citations to date.
• Prof. G.K. Ananthasuresh, a Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Awardee, has pioneering contribu-
tions in compliant mechanisms and multi-criteria topology optimization. He has strong Indus-
trial collaborations on optimization projects in additive manufacturing, automotive and aerospace
domains.
• Prof. Erik Goodman, co-founder of Red Cedar Technology Inc., has strong contributions in
application of evolutionary optimization in automotive sector and mechatronics. He is the Di-
rector of BEACON NSF Center dedicated to multidisciplinary research and applied evolutionary
computing.
