GENERAL SCOPE OF WORKS

1.0 GENERAL

1.1 DESCRIPTION

1.1.1 This division shall include the supply, packing for transport, delivery to site,
unloading, installation, erection, final testing and putting into commission,
handling-over in approved working order and maintenance of the mechanical
and electrical system thereafter for a period of 24 months. This include the
whole of the Works, as detailed hereunder.

1.1.2 The works to be carried out under this division shall include the whole of the
materials (expect equipment specified as supplied by others), and all
necessary labour of the completion of the Works, in every detail, ready for
continuous and economic operation whether such be directly mentioned in
the specifications or not.

1.1.3 The Contractor shall apply for and obtain all necessary certificates and
approvals for the work done from the relevant authorities and shall lodge the
same with the Engineer before final payment is made.

1.1.4 The work includes, but is not limited to the following:-

1. Screw Pumps

a) 3 nos. 3.0m3/ 4.18m total head electrical screw pumps inclusive

of steel trough, fittings, connection, supports and other related work
associated with the pumps.

b) All necessary electrical works including monitoring equipment,

power wiring and termination from the field panel to pumps, control
from sensing devices to pump field panel and all auxiliary equipment
to make the whole system complete in all respects.

c) All provisions/facilities in the field panels for interfacing with the

Building Automation System (BAS).

a) Power supply intake services, connection and metering

b) 415V / 240V power supply distribution

c) Distribution panel boards and auxiliary boards.

d) Miscellaneous electrical equipment and systems.

e) Lighting fixtures, lamps, switches, socket outlet systems, and

miscellaneous wiring devices.

f) Standby Generator Set System

g) Lighting Protection & Earthing systems.

4. Other Works

a) Supply and installation of all necessary instrumentation

including pressure gauges, pressure switches etc.

b) Provision of noise abatement equipment to maintain noise

criteria limits
as required.

c) Cleaning up, painting and labeling of all pipework, fittings,

equipment and accessories installed.

1.2 DEFINITIONS AND ABBREVIATIONS

1. Definitions

1. “PROVIDE” means to supply, purchase, transport, place, erect,

connect, test and turn over the Employer, complete and ready for
regular operation, the particular work referred to.

2. “INSTALL” means to join, unite, fasten, link, attach, set up or

otherwise connect together before testing and turning over to
Employer, complete and ready for regular operation, the particular
work referred to.

3. “FURNISH” means to supply all materials, labor, equipment, testing

apparatus, controls, tests, accessories and all other items customarily
required for the proper and complete application for the particular
work referred to.

4. “AS DIRECTED” means directed by the Superintendant Officer /

Engineer.

5. “CONCEALED” means embedded in masonry or other construction,

installed behind wall furring or within double partition, or installed
within hung ceilings.

6. “SUBMIT” means submit to Engineer for review and approval. Refer to

Project Main and Special Conditions for proper procedures.
