REORGANIZATION OF BARANGAY PEACE & ORDER COMMITTEE

(BPOC)

WHEREAS,the Local Government Code of 1991 other national laws and

memoranda mandates all Local Government units organized the local special
bodies,boards,council and other advisory groups in their respective locality;

WHEREAS,such organization shall not only assist the local government in

the planning and implementation of development programs,but as well as
recommend social policies to further improve development intervention.

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay of San Jose ,Bombon , Camarines

Sur firmly believes in participatory governance to be able to effectively responds to
the needs of the community.

WHEREAS,Executive Order No. 06 provides for the reorganization and

creation of the Barangay Peace & Order Council at Barangay level.

NOW, THEREFORE, I EDGARDO A. CAMAIN ,Punong Barangay of

Barangay San Jose,Bombon,Camarines Sur by virtue of the power vested in me by
the Local Govrnment Code of 1991 and other existing laws, do hereby order and
direct the following:

SECTION 1-There is hereby reorganized the Barangay Peace & Order

Council (BPOC) in San Jose, Bombon , Camarines Sur composed of the following,
viz:

Youth
 SECTION 2 : The Barangay Peace & Order Committee shall have the
following functions:
 Initiate , coordinate and monitor the implementation of peace and
order programs and projects at the Barangay level;
 Serve as an info- gathering mechanism pertaining to peace and
order
 Monitor and check the nefarious activities of criminal elements
 Supervise Barangay Tanods in identifying Barangay Constituent
with strong deviant behaviour for referral to appropriate
authorities
 Maintain continuing dialogue ,close coordination and rapport
with the City or Municipal POC, the city or Municipal
management coordinating committee and the law enforcement
units operating in the Barangay.
 Undertake periodic assessment of the prevailing peace and order
situation in the Barangay and submit a report with appropriate
recommendations to the city/Municipal POC;and
 Perform such other functions which may assigned by higher
POCs.
SECTION 3 : The Barangay Peace and Order Council (BPOC) shall meet
Every 2nd Friday of the 2nd Month of the quarter at the Barangay Hall of San Jose
,Bombon, Camarines Sur.
