PanTherLink is a program that interfaces with the PanTher LS8/LS8E printer using a
USB port on a Windows PC.
PanTherLink allows file transfers between the LS8/LS8E printer and the computer.
PanTherLink may also upgrade the LS8 printer's operating system.
PanTherLink is capable of transferring monochrome bitmap symbols to/from the LS8E.

How to install the PanTherLink Application

**************************************************

1) Insert the PanTherLink CD into the CD drive.

2) Run Setup.exe and click the button "Install PanTherLink" follow the
on-screen instructions to finish installing the PanTherLink program.
Use the default settings when possible.

3) To use all of the features of PanTherLink, 3 special USB drivers must be

installed onto the computer:
(1) File Transfer driver
(2) Firmware Upgrade driver
(3) Printer Driver.
All required drivers will be automatically added and setup during the
PanTherLink
program installation.

Downloadable Symbols

1) After PanTherLink & drivers are installed, using the USB cable provided in the
LS8-PCKIT,
connect the LS8 to your computer.

2) Power-up the LS8, then access the pc interface mode using the following LS8
Keys
SETUP, PC Interface, Symbol Transfer.

3) Open PanTherLink if it is not already open.

4) Select the "BMP" icon to save a bitmap file from the LS8 or save a bitmap file
to the LS8

5) Firmware version 2.0.3 or greater provides space for up to ten bitmap files.

6) Special rules apply to bitmap files.

6.1) Bitmap files must be monochrome.

6.2) Bitmap files must be 128 x 128 pixels when downloading.
