Calling all singer employees of the City Government Cebu to showcase your talent

and join our LGU-Naga Singing Contest 2019 (Duet Edition)

MECHANICS:

5. The contest is open to all DUET Singing enthusiasts in LGU- City of Naga, Cebu.
6. Participants shall be a pair of male and female, all male or all female.
7. The participants will render popular duet songs may it be from international or from
local singers on the culmination day.
8. Participants along with their respective MP3 minus one music/accompaniment saved in
a flash drive (not in mobile phone) shall personally register at HRD office.
9. The music piece can be English, Tagalog or Cebuano song.
10. Each qualified pair / contestant shall render a minimum of 3:30 minutes and maximum
of 6:00 minutes either English, Tagalog or Cebuano song of their choice, which must not
contain any subliminal, sexually suggestive or vulgar lyrics. Non-compliance will result
in AUTOMATIC disqualification.
11. Outfit must be decent and appropriate for the competition.
12. It is the contestant’s responsibility to signify their presence one hour before the
competition.
4. Cash prizes are as follows:
First prize: P 2,500.00
Second prize: 2,000.00
Third Prize: 1,500.00
Consolation Prize: 1,000.00
1. Selection of winners will be based on the following criteria:
Voice Quality (tonality, tonal blending and technique) 50%
Style and Performance (rendition quality, 30%
discipline, timing & precision, choreography, delivery,
appropriateness of staging of song selected and teamwork)
Overall Appeal (stage appeal, audience impact and outfit) 20%
Total: 100%
2. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and non appealable.
3. The HIMIG LINGKOD BAYANI SINGING CONTEST: DUET EDITION will be held at
ECAC, September 25, 2019 Wednesday at 1:00 in the afternoon.

Deadline for the submission of names will be on September 23, 2019, Monday.
