The way we communicate with other people today is different from years ago. One of the best
examples is that people add a person to their friends list without knowing them properly and that
is common. The same happens with the dates, every day the number of people using online dating
websites is increasing and it seems that it won’t stop. One of the biggest advantages of these online
dating websites is that you can select a person with the same preferences as yours, so, from the first
moment you read a user's profile, you get a good amount of information. The main disadvantage of
these websites is that there are a lot of false profiles, and when you finally decide to meet that
person, you could get disappointed, because he or she wasn’t the kind of person you were waiting
for. I still remember the experience of Carlos, one of my best friends. He told me that he had used
these online dating websites. He met a woman on the websites and after long conversations they
decided to meet at a Café. When they finally got together, he realized that she was 10 years older
than her profile picture. The most shocking part was that on the first date, she told him that she
wanted to get married in the next few months, but my friend wasn’t ready for that. Finally the last
thing I knew was that they didn’t continue their relationship after that date.
