MY HOMETOWN

It is located in the department of Moquegua , in the south of peru.

The first civilizacion or culture was Chiribaya and chinchorro during their Precolumbian era.

The earliest settlement in the area is a site called Site Ring.

The habitants of the Ring Site developed a parasitic economy linked to the sea.
Its diet was made up of rodents, guanacos (animes from that live in the desert), wolves and
otters, as well as mollusks and various types of fish such as sea bass, sole, lorna.
In Ilo you can find many touristic places like the beaches (pozo de lisas, platanales, puerto
ingles) , the naval museum , the glorieta jose galvez and others.
In addition , Ilo has many popular dishes such as ceviche , chicharron , all this dishes are
elaborated with fish.
On the other hand , the agriculture is an important fact in Ilo , because there are a lot of
olive that is produced year by year .
In conclusion ilo is an important port and place for many reasons like the agriculture,
touristic places , delicious sea - food .
