MEDIA ADVISORY
Beat the Heat Summer Swing Golf Tournament

WHAT: Join the Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life Foundation for their 9th annual Beat the
Heat Summer Swing Golf Tournament.

WHEN: Monday, July 15, 2020


Registration will start at 10 a.m.
Tee time will start at 1 p.m.

WHERE: Springdale Country Club

WHO: The following individuals will be at the event:


 Rhonda Wotowis, mother of Kendrick Fincher and founder of Kendrick Fincher
Hydration for Life
 Chad Morris, head coach of the University of Arkansas Razorback football team
 Ryan Mallett, former University of Arkansas and former National Football League
quarterback

WHY: In 1995 Kendrick Fincher went to practice and 16 days later passed from a heat stroke.
The Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life aims to education individuals on how to prevent heat
strokes and give parents a peace of mind that their child is safe, no matter the age. The cost is
$400 for a four-person team. You can register your team online at kendrickfincher.org. There
will be a silent auction with photographed University of Arkansas and Dallas Cowboys
memorabilia. All funds raised for the event will be used to continue educating and spreading
awareness about preventing heat strokes in our athletes.

MEDIA INSTURCTIONS: There will be a silent auction table in the clubhouse,


featuring autographed University of Arkansas and Dallas Cowboys memorabilia. Teams
will start warming up at Noon, on the course driving range and putting greens. At 12:30
p.m. Rhonda Wotowis, Chad Morris, and Ryan Mallett will be available for interviews at
the first hole, they will also hit the ceremonial tee shots at the first hole tee box at 1 p.m.
