1. This booklet is your Question Paper containing 60 questions.
2. Blank papers, clipboards, log tables, slide rules, calculators, cellular phones, pagers and electronic
gadgets in any form are not allowed to be carried inside the examination hall.
3. Fill in the boxes provided for Name and Enrolment Number.
4. The answer sheet, a machine-readable Objective Response (ORS), is provided separately.
5. DO NOT TAMPER WITH / MULTILATE THE ORS OR THE BOOKLET.

C. Question paper format:
7. The question paper consists of three parts (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry).
Each part consists of 4 sections.
8. Section I (Single Correct Answer Type) of each subject consists of 10 questions (Total Marks:
30 for each subject), for each question you will be awarded 3 marks, if you darken ONLY the
bubble corresponding to the correct answer and zero marks if no bubble is darkened. In all other
cases, minus one (–1) mark will be awarded. All questions of this section are Multiple Choice
questions with single correct answer only.
9. Section II (Multiple Correct Answer(s) Type) of each subject consists of 5 questions (Total
Marks: 20 for each subject),
For each question, marks will be awarded in one of the following categories:
Full Marks : +4 If only the bubble(s) corresponding to all the correct option(s)
is (are) darkened.
Partial Marks : +1 For darkening a bubble corresponding to each correct
option, provided NO incorrect option is darkened.
Zero Mark : 0 If none of the bubbles is darkened.
Negative Marks : –1 In all other cases.
All questions of this section are Multiple Choice questions with one or more than one correct
answer.
10. Section III (Paragraph Type) of each subject consists of 2 Paragraphs, each Paragraph is followed
by 2 questions (Total Marks: 12 for each subject), for each question you will be awarded 3 marks, if
you darken ONLY the bubble corresponding to the correct answer and zero marks if no bubble is
darkened. In all other cases, minus one (–1) mark will be awarded. All questions of this section are
Multiple Choice questions with single correct answer only.
11. Section IV (Matrix - Match Type) of each subject consists of 1 questions. For each bit you will be
awarded 2 marks for each row in which you have darkened ALL the bubble(s) corresponding to the
correct answer(s) ONLY and zero marks otherwise. In this section questions carry a maximum of 8
marks (Total Marks: 8). There are no negative marks in this section.
