Upon Arrival to Valdivia

- If you arrive at the airport, there are shuttles that take you to your accommodation place at around 7 USD cost.
- The city of Valdivia is small; their length from top to bottom is approximately 7 km. Thus, taxis are cheap.
However, we suggest you to employ radio-taxi ( 2213111 ; 2210210 ; 2215000 ; 2270270) or Uber service.
- If you arrive on Monday, 16 October, we recommend to go directly to the conference site at first floor of Dr.
Emilio Pugin Building in Universidad Austral de Chile, to carry out your registration, since check-in at hotels
is after 15.00 h

Pugin Building at UACH

- Conference Site: Los Laureles, Pugin Building (next to Library), Universidad Austral de Chile, Campus Isla Teja.
- Hotel Puertas del Sur: Los Lingues #950, Isla Teja, Valdivia.
- Hotel Melillanca: Avenida Alemania #675, Valdivia.
- Complejo Turístico Isla Teja: Los Cipreses #1125, Isla Teja, Valdivia.
- Apart Hotel Río Cruces: Arturo Prat #1561, Valdivia.
- Important note: Accommodation reservations are considered only for the whole duration of the meeting, i.e. from
Monday, October 16th to Thursday morning October 19th. If you intend to arrive before Monday or leave after the
conference, you will be charged for the extra days. Also, we remind you to inform us, so that the hotel can prepare
your room in advance.

Conference
- All the activities of the conference will be held at Pugin Building, Universidad Austral de Chile, Campus Isla
Teja, Valdivia.
- Registration will start at 10.00 h on Monday, 16 October 2017.
- The opening session is scheduled to take place on Monday October 16th at 15.00 h.
- Conference dinner will take place on Tuesday October 16th in the evening at Catamaran Neptuno. We must
board around 19.30 h, since the departure of the boat is scheduled with the Port Authority at 20.00 h. Also,
during the registration, we will ask you about your dinner preference. This is really important if you have some
special diet or special needs.
- The conference facilities count with computer and video projector. Please, be at the session room at least 10
minutes before the session starts to meet the chair, transfer your presentation, and familiarize yourself with the
technical equipment.
- For poster session, Please hang up your poster before the session starts. Double-faced adhesive tape will be
provided. Note that printing poster is NOT possible on-site. A poster number will identify each poster board.
Refer to the final program to confirm the number assigned to your poster presentation. The presenting author
should be present during the session.
