This lesson and these objectives fulfill the national standards because students will be performing
movement patterns needed to perform the various line dances. Students will also need to understand
movement concepts and patterns to perform the line dance steps in the correct order. Students will
hopefully enjoy the choices of music/dances and social interaction the dances provide.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
What are the safety concerns: A main safety concern is spacing between dancers.
Adaptations for students with special needs: Have a partner for the student(s) with special needs or partner
the entire class so everyone equal.
What about this class is unique or different: We are learning line dancing which is something we have not
gone in depth about.
YOUR PERSONAL GOALS FOR EFFECTIVE TEACHING: Class participation and enjoyment for our
students.
