WORLD RELIGION

I. Objective:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. Give an example of a belief system or a worldview.
b. Communicate her* understanding of her religion.

II. Subject Matter:


Topic: Religion in a Different Light
Materials: cut out letters, pictures

III. Procedure:
Interfaith Prayer
Checking of Attendance
Motivation:
Show pictures to the students and ask them to give any insights about it.

Activity 1:
Divide the class into 4 groups. Let them assemble the jumbled letters that is
inside the envelope that will be given to them.

Activity 2:
From their groups, instruct them to discuss thoroughly the words that they came
up with, and let them write down their own meaning or understanding about the
word given.

Activity 3:
Give the students bond paper and crayons. Let them make an illustrative
presentation of their point of view or worldview of their religion and explain it to
the class.

Analysis:
Ask the students the following questions:
1. How does your religion differ from other religion?
2. How do you practice or appreciate your religion?
3. What other belief system have you identified?

Abstraction:
Throw the following questions to the students:
1. How can you show that you have a religion?
2. Will you defend your own religion?
3. Will you respect other beliefs and worldview?
Application:
Let the students make a skit portraying the religious practice and beliefs and
worldview of a certain religion.

IV. Evaluation:
Let the students compose a reflective essay about their personal and global point
of view of their faith system.

V. Assignment:

Hatiin ang klase sa dalawang pangkat. Sasagutan nila ang nakasulat sa

Mula sa dalawang pangkat, mag-uunahan ang mga studyante sa pagsulat

1. What is a bank account?
2. What are the types of bank accounts?

Motivation:
Show a picture of a savings account and a checking account.
Ask.
1. Do you recognize these types of account?

Activity #1. Getting to Know Each Other


Divide the class into two groups. Savings Group and Checking
Group. Let the students discuss about the characteristics of the
savings and checking accounts.

Activity #2. Fill Me Up’


The students will write down on the board the characteristics of each
accounts. Savings group to Checking Account and Checking Group
to Savings Account.

Activity #3. Choose me!


The students will identify the difference of the two different
accounts.

Analysis:
The students will spot the types of bank accounts being describe.

Abstraction:
The teacher will single out the difference of savings from checking
account.
Application:
Let the students explain the difference of savings from checking
Accounts through reporting.

IV. Evaluation

Differentiate a savings account from a current or checking account.

V. Assignment
Answer the following:
