JORDAN
2001 Sales by Month

JORDAN is one of the leading sports attire worldwide besides Adidas,

Reebok, and UnderArmor. It is a well-known product because of the iconic NBA
Basketball player Michael Jordan. JORDAN has three distinguished products: shoes,
t-shirts, and sports gear, such as, knee braces, wristbands, etc. JORDAN shoes are the
products identified for continued investments in production and distribution.

JORDAN shoes’ sales during the beginning of the year 2001 had a low
amount of sales, although, it is above the breakeven point. In January, the shoe sales
went down from $3162 to $2516 in just a month. However, starting from February,
the sales steadily increased as it reached past the sales target at May. June had the
largest increase in sales that amounted to $6230 however; this started a fluctuation
that lasted until the end of the year. The fluctuation went between the sales target
points from July through September. The sales during October are the last time sales
were below the sales target at $4365. The increase from October to November again
went past the sales target line and only slightly decreased from November to
December.

The sales of JORDAN shirt were at peak during the beginning of the year. The
sales were past the sales target with a count of $6840 and only somewhat fall to
$6704 during February. Although, the shirts had the highest sales during the first two
months, the sales went down drastically during March that had only $3945 of sales.
But, this did not really stop the sales of shirts yet. From March to April, the sales had
another breakthrough the sales target line, and the numbers count from $3945 to
$6780. This is where the “deadly plunge” of shirts’ sales begins. Starting April to
May, the sales decreased sharply from $6780 to $4750. Ever since May, the decline
continues to run in the sales of shirt. Eventually, the sales of shirt went to zero by the
end of December.

The sales of JORDAN sports gear in the beginning of January were at an all
time low. Starting January throughout July had very poor sales that it’s below the
breakeven point. July with sales of $1995 was the highest for sports gear.
Additionally, this started a fluctuation until the end of the year between low sales and
the breakeven point.

The products that should have continued investments in production and

distribution are the shoes. The sales show a fluctuation between the sales target and,
sometimes, even above it. JORDAN Shoes will have the best sales among its other
products if the shoes were invested for production and distribution.
