SONIC, sound announcement system that is used in elevators. Using for announce floor
information, out of service, overloaded and rescue announce. Played background music during
travel time. Selected playing floor information announce in every floor or only target floor.
Selected Gray code, Binary code, Counter mode or Display mode as floor selector. Floor selector
set using with KS switch that is on SONIC board. Sound files are in microSD card. You can use
default announcement in microSD card or you can create new announcement list using SONIC
sound editor software. SONIC Sound Editor software can be run directly from within came with
the board microSD card, can also be used as a PC installed. Necessary arrangements are made by
inserting a microSD card to the PC after attaching it to SONIC board can be run directly.

SONIC Board Connection Terminal and Meanings

M0 / 032 / A : M0 for Gray and Binary code, 032 for Counter mode, A signal for Display mode

M1 / B : M1 for Gray and Binary code, M1 for Counter mode, B signal for Display mode

M2 / 817 / E : M2 for Gray and Binary code, 817 for Counter mode, E signal for Display mode

M3 / 818 / F : M3 for Gray and Binary code, 818 for Counter moder, F signal for Display mode

G : Busy signal for Gray,Binary and Counter mode to play background music, G
signal for Display mode

KS / 2BC : Rescue signal input, 2BC signal for Display mode

TT : Trigger signal to play background music and to voice announcement

AY : Overloaded signal

SD : Out of service signal

1 : There is Create new list, Open list, Save list, Select SD card directory and Transfer to SD
car functions in here.When moving mouse cursor on these symbol, shown function description
on box that number is 4.

2 : You can add 4 pieces sound to announcement table for each floor, overloaded, out of
service and rescue announcement. Table consist 4 pieces announcement in each row and later
combined into a single sound file. You can add 10 pieces background music to play during travel
time. Background music must be wav format, 16kHz, 8 bit and MONO type.

To edit announcement table and add new sound, right click on cell of table and select sound in
list. To delete sound from table, select cell and click BACKSPACE. You can select sound from list
without background music. Can be added to all sound files that is providing the necessary background
music features. Click SAVE button to save list after the completion of the announcement table. Click
SELECT SD CARD DIRECTORY…button and select microSD card directory. After click TRANSFER
TO SD CARD button to combine and copy sound file to SD card. After finishing transfer process, eject
microSD card from PC and attach SONIC board. Set KS switch as your floor selector type and set sound
level using with potentiometer.
