    XL-HTM is a rutile type stainless steel electrode that yields a nominal composition of 25% chromium, 12% nickel, and 2.5% molybdenum. It operates well with both DC+ and AC, and provides a low spatter, smooth bead and stable arc for all welding positions.     GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:

    A rutile type stainless steel electrode which yields a nominal composition of 25


    Cr-12Ni-2.5 Mo. Operates equally well on DC+ and AC. Low spatter smooth bead
    and stable arc. Suitable for all conventional welding positions. Excellent
    resistance to chemical corrosion.

    APPLICATIONS:

    Joining of 309Mo, 309 Cb, 316 type stainless steels. Joining of dissimilar steels
    such as stainless steels to mild steels and low steels. Welding to clad side of
    AISI 309 Mo grade stainless steel

    MECHANICAL PROPERTIES:

    UTS: upto 620 N/mm2


    Yield Strength: upto 510 N/mm2
    Impact strength: upto 5 J at +20oC
    Elongation: 32% CVN
