Key Account Manager

The Key Account Manager will manage key accounts, maintains long-term relationships with
accounts, and maximizes sales opportunities. Has an integral role in new business pitches and
holds responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients. Develops sales programs
designed to achieve budgeted sales volume. Focuses on growing and developing existing clients,
together with generating new business. Accounts are typically at the division level and are less
complex in nature. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems
and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to working knowledge
of subject matter.

Essential Functions

1. Manage assigned accounts.

2. Call prospective customers and establish buying cycles, customer needs, and create a
customer supplier relationship.

3. Increase sales in respective accounts.

4. Prepare sales information for customers.

5. Establish buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria for assigned accounts.

6. Secure and place orders taking into consideration delivery dates and inventory levels
for fulfillment.

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

2. Ideally 2-4 years of selling experience
