Assignment 1: Article Review (Individual)

Find an article on Professional Learning Communities that had been practiced in other
country. Write a review on it.

Your review should consist of:

i. Introduction (details of the article being reviewed).

ii. A summary of the whole articles.
iii. Your views/comments on what was being practiced/discussed.
Justify.
iv. Your own ideas/suggestions for improvement.
v. Conclusion - The ideas/issues which are related to/relevant in the
Malaysian school scenario.
vi. Reflection of your own experience regarding to PLC
implementation at your school.

Format:

 APA 6th.
 Your review should be between 6– 8 pages in length (should not exceed 8 pages).

Assignment 2: Peer Observation (Individual )

Plan and conduct a session of peer observation. Write a reflection of the session.

1. Introduction –significance of peer observation

2. A brief report of the event based on the steps that had been taken.
a. Pre observation: Discussion before the real observation on certain
aspect such as: teaching planning: objectives, methods, strategies and
activities, and teaching materials.

 b. Observation – data analysis based on the protocol given (don’t forget
to write some field notes when necessary during observation. It’s very
helpful in the process of interpreting the data).
c. Post observation – Discussion with the supervisee after the observation
– feedbacks provided

3. Reflection of the occasion - Supervisor and Supervisee’s reflection

4. Suggestion and conclusion
5. References

Effective curriculum leadership and management.

Aspects to be considered:

Choose only one aspect or dimension of curriculum leadership and management. (refer to
the course description)
For quantitative study, the number of participant is not less than 30, whilst in qualitative
the number of participant involves in the study is at least 6.
Length: Not exceeding 20 pages excluding references and appendixes.
