ABSTRACT

Generally dinning plates are made in plastics. Plastics are harmful and it
has many disadvantages to us. Naturally we can get Banana leaves that can be
used as a spread sheet over ever silver plates. This banana leaves have very
good advantages, it does not have any chemical effects and it is very cheap.
Usually one single leaf is cut into two or three parts for covering the surface of
plates, due to its shape it may not fit into plates which creates physical
discomfort to eating person. To overcome this problem banana leaves are cut
into circular shapes which helps them to fit into plates. Our system helps in
performing cutting operation in short duration of time with less human effort
along with regular shape. The machine is operated by quick return mechanism
which is also called whit worth mechanism. The manual effort is given in the
form of rotation by hand lever which tends to initiate the mechanism for
performing cutting operation. The loading and unloading of leaf is manual, by
varying the speed production rate can be varied. By using different shaped dies
we can produce different shape and size of leaf spreads with our compact
constructed machine.
