Text Used: Various texts provided dependent on the theme we are studying

Description: The specific learning outcomes for Post Intensive French are developed
through a number of topics, including, but not limited to:

Family, friends, self


Travel, hobbies, interests, sports
Seasons
School, community
Holidays, celebrations, health, food, nutrition
Environment
Technology and inventions
Media

Teacher Expectations of Students: Each student should have a duo-tang and a Hilroy or
similar exercise book. BE A REGULAR ATTENDER!. Students should have a
positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and should exhibit proper classroom behaviour.

Classroom Rules and Procedures:


1) Be in the classroom when the bell sounds.
2) Only one person speaks at a time.
3) No food in the classroom.
4) Water is permitted in a re-sealable container only.

Content: Unit 1 – L’environnement


Unit 2 – Le grand ecran
Unit 3 – Les TIC (time permitting)

Evaluation: 30% oral (spoken production, spoken interaction and listening)


25% reading (comprehension, fluency, accuracy, responding to reading)
25% writing (modeled, independent, genres, conventions, accuracy, fluency)
20% final oral interview with teacher
(There will be a final oral interview with the teacher at the end of grade 10.)
Make up: This is the responsibility of the student to get caught up for any time missed.
The teacher will provide any help that is needed.
