BSOA MISSION The Office Administration Department commits to facilitate the integral development of learners towards transformation through relevant curricular
offerings, related school activities, and specialized trainings designed for the holistic development of the students in their field of specialization.
CSAV OBJECTIVE To develop well-rounded individuals responsive to the country’s call for efficient, effective, and responsible workers and entrepreneurs
by providing them with high level of academic thinking, behavioral and technical competencies through up-to-date information, state-of-
the-art educational facilities and standardized training courses to enable them to live meaningful lives in their respective fields of
specialization.
BSOA OBJECTIVE The Office Administration Department aims to train and prepare graduates to be competent and competitive in their future office administrative career
through:
1. Providing relevant activities essential for them to become effective in handling various clerical / administrative tasks and to make them
proficient in the use of advanced office technology & equipment by providing simulation room; and,
2. Facilitating programs that include student’s organization, on-the-job training, conventions, seminars, educational field trips, and community
outreach.
COURSE DESCRIPTION This course is programmed to develop typing skills and acquaints the students with the operational parts of the typewriter; let the students develop
touch control of the keys and number of the typewriter. After which, they will acquire a mastery of the keyboard, the building of speed and
improvement of accuracy are emphasized.

COURSE OUTCOMES At the end of the semester, the students must have:
1. Identified the operations parts of the typewriter and their functions.
2. Learned the basic techniques involved in the operation of the typewriter.
3. Reinforced weakness and strength in typing speed and skills already learned.
4. Developed keyboard mastery and accelerate speed.
5. Typed at least 25-40 word a minute.
