Counter Measure, Technical Note.

1. Currently working in body durability in Ford Global Technology & Business center.

a. Performing Van outer panel, Pickup box & Tailgate outer panel oil canning analysis.
b. Pickup box tailgate pillar stiffness analysis.
c. Pickup box rigid top edge analysis.
d. Pickup box floor panel strength analysis.
e. Striker analysis (B pillar & C Pillar).

2. High cycle fatigue analysis for cylinder head with thermal and mechanical loadings.
To perform Thermo structural analysis of Head for various engines.
The components included in the analysis are the cylinder head, valve seats, valve guides, head gasket, head bolts,
cylinder block, and cylinder liners.
The analysis involves fatigue life estimation for Water-jacket and duct.

The results of the thermal structural analysis are used to evaluate global parameters such as stress,
deformation and temperature.

3. Low cycle fatigue analysis for cylinder head fire deck sub model with thermal and mechanical loadings.
To perform Thermo structural analysis of sub model fire deck for various engines.
The components included in the analysis are the cylinder head fire deck, valve seats, head gasket.
The analysis involves fatigue life estimation for fire deck sub model.
The results of the thermal structural analysis are used to evaluate global parameters such as stress,
deformation and temperature.

4. Pillar analysis of cylinder head bolts.

To perform pillar analysis of head blots of an engine.
The engine components included in the analysis are the cylinder head, valve seats, valve guides.
It is necessary to evaluate the bolt - pretension of head bolts so as to avoid the failure of blots and
disconnection between cylinder head and block.

5. Thermal cyclic analysis of cylinder head with extreme thermal conditions.

To perform thermal cyclic analysis of head, It is necessary to evaluate the equivalent plastic strain in the
connecting region between cylinder head and exhaust assembly to avoid the failures in that region.
The results of the thermal cyclic analysis are used to evaluate the equivalent plastic strain in the connecting
region between head and exhaust assembly.
Automated report for thermal cyclic analysis, using Meta post-python, automatic results loading, automatic
fringe bar settings, automatic sectioning, and automatic report savings has been done in Meta post - python.

6. Modal analysis of SED battery & Intake Manifold.

To perform modal analysis of SEd battery & intake Manifold.
The results of the modal analysis are used to evaluate the natural frequency of the individual components to
avoid the resonance condition.

7. A Cohesive zone modeling for Simulation of Blade Stiffened Composite Skin Specimens Separation under
Mode-I and Mode –II Loading.
FE Modeling and Simulation of Delamination growth for skin-stringer Composite specimen using 3D Cohesive
Element for Mode-I (DCB-Double Cantilever Beam), Mode-II (ENF-End Notched Flexure) and Mixed Mode using
Abaqus/Standard-6.10 and Matlab.
A geometrically linear static analysis was carried out and relevant outputs were extracted near the crack front.

8. Buckling and Post buckling of co-cured composite stiffened panel: fabrication, Testing and Numerical
Analysis.
FE Modeling for Composite stiffened Panel using 3d-Shell Elements (for Flat and curved stiffened panel),
Abaqus CAE-6.10.
Linear and Buckling Analysis was carried out by applying a load to predict the Reaction force and buckling load.
A Geometrically Nonlinear Static Analysis was carried out by applying a load higher than the critical buckling
load (Post buckling Analysis) to predict the maximum failure load during Post Buckling, Load v/s displacement
graph was plotted and the FE result was compared with test result.

Modelling and simulation of delamination/ disbond growth using cohesive element approach.
Simulation of collapse of panel using damage evolution models (hashin damage evolution model, user
subroutine etc.)

10. Post buckling Analysis of rectangular Debonded between skin and stringer of Composite Stiffened Panel
Using Contact and Geometry Nonlinearity.
Analysis has been done using VCCT Approach (Virtual Crack Closure Technique) with defining Contact
properties.
Strain Energy Release Rate (SERR) was computed at the delamination front using VCCT.
Key Words: Post buckling, Crack propagation, linear, nonlinear, composite, Fatigue and Fracture.

Objective:
 Change in Natural Frequencies of a Reservoir Lock Gate Structure is studied due to fluid structure interaction
effects between the gate and reservoir using a near truncated far boundary.
 In the Governing Equations, Pressure for the Fluid Domain and Displacement for the Gate are considered as
independent nodal variables.
 The main aim of the present investigation is to find out the fundamental frequencies of the lock gate structures
with varying Degrees of Freedom per node, Width to Thickness ratio, Length to Height ratio and Aspect ratio.
